24.01.2022 Join us from 6pm tonight at Charlie for open training. It’s a great chance to get the kids out for a kick and some fitness before the Christmas break. Any friends or siblings interested in AFL are welcome to come and have a go.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our Auskick Coordinator, Luke Van Staveren who, at last nights Coaches and Managers Dinner, was awarded a Presidents Award for his valuable contribution to the club during the 2020 season. In what was his first year as Auskick Coordinator, Luke took total responsibility and ownership over the Auskick program and received excellent feedback from parents and players alike who thoroughly enjoyed the season under his guidance. Each and every Sunday Morning he was at Baulko bright and early to ensure ground setup and Covid sign in for Auskick were completed as required. We thank Luke for his dedication to his role this past season and look forward to another great season of Auskick in 2021.

19.01.2022 Our Annual General Meeting was held last Friday night 20 November at Rydges Norwest. Thank you to those who were in attendance. We do have some positions which remain open including Events Coordinator, Grounds/facilities Coordinator and General Committee. We also extend a sincere thank you to our outgoing committee members - Stuart Lackas, Kylie Smallacombe, Kylie Lister, Richard O’Keefe, Melissa Small, Brad Smallacombe, Wiebke Lackas, Jenni Walsh and Kerryn Ryan, all of whom have made valuable contributions to our club in their roles.

12.01.2022 A reminder for this week - pre season open training combined with come and try is on Tuesday and Thursday night from 6-730pm. Bring the kids down to kick the footy around and keep their skills up during the off season.

10.01.2022 Congratulations to Richard Okeefe, the second recipient of a Presidents Award at our Coaches and Managers dinner on Friday night. The award was presented to Richard in recognition of not only his contribution as Coaching Coordinator for this past season, but his valuable service to the club over the past few years in many capacities. With his skill and knowledge as a coach, Richard has provided mentorship and development to many coaches and players within the club. Over this ...past year he has been a jack of all trades, jumping in and helping out wherever needed around the club in roles such as Ground Manager, BBQ helper and was of great assistance in making our equipment and merchandise rooms more workable with shelving installation. Richard is always a reliable sounding board for the Exec and most of all just a great character to have around the club with his colourful sense of humour! Well done and well deserved Richard! 08.01.2022 PRESENTATION DAY 2020 LIFE MEMBER AWARDS Each year at Baulko we recognise our players who have played continuously for Baulko from the U9’s all the way through until their final year of U17’s, by awarding them with Life Membership. This is done so in honour of their commitment and loyalty to our Club over a long period of time. ... This year we congratulate Nicholas Ryan, Adam Pittana and Brody Bellamy for achieving Life Membership and we wish them well in their future endeavours. We hope that they will look back on their junior footy days at Baulko with great pride and fondness Kerryn Ryan Jenelle Pittana Justine Bellamy

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Craig Chobdzynski, our YG12 coach who was awarded with the Doug Scholtz award for Coach of the Year 2020, at our coaches and managers dinner last Friday night. The success of a coach is not only measured by their results on field, but how they develop each and every player to be the best that they can be and how they build relationships with their parent group to have a strong united team. Ultimately, this leads to great results on the field. After each ga...me, Craig wrote an in depth analysis on the teams Facebook page highlighting the performance of each player on the team. He built team camaraderie by taking training away from the field to complete external team building activities. Craig’s commitment and dedication is second to none, arriving well ahead of training times to set up his session, also evident when he stepped in to coach the 17’s last year in addition to his girls team. We were particularly proud of him this year when two seperate clubs wrote an email to us to say what a delightful coach he was to play against and what wonderful sportsmanship he demonstrated. To top off an amazing coaching year, Craig and his YG12 team went one better than last year and became undefeated premiers! Doug Scholtz, was a Baulko player, coach, mentor and friend for 30 years and it was only fitting when he passed to have an award named after him to honour his legacy. We are sure that he would be very pleased with the recipient of this years award. Congratulations and very well deserved Craig!

04.01.2022 As part of our focus on building our umpiring brigade, the spotlight moves on to Benny Lackas from our U17 team. Registrations are now open to sign up as an umpire for 2021. Children must be 13 by April 1st 2021 to register. Training will commence in the New Year and is conducted at Baulko. The AFL will be in touch after the children register with further details. 03.01.2022 Did you know.... 2020 saw the introduction of the Youth Girls 10 age group, bringing the girls teams to be YG10, YG12, YG14, YG16 & YG18. The girls had an absolute blast, if you know a girl turning 9 or 10 in 2021 then this is the team for them.
