25.01.2022 Yesterday was National Dance Day!!! If you are at home busting a move or two, we recommend giving this warm up a go! Bella and Laura are running through some stretches for all our little dancers

25.01.2022 As today is World Environment day our Bindas (Preschool room) were busy brainstorming strategies how we can reduce our carbon foot print. Our environmental crusader, Miss Laura informed the Bindas of a whale that was discovered off the coast of Thailand with EIGHTY plastic bags in it's stomach. Soon all of the Bindas were asking their educators how they can help save the sea creatures that they love so much. It seems like we are often having these 'real' conversations with our Binda children, and we adore watching as the Bindas show interest and curiosity as we discuss so many aspects of the world around us. While it may seem small, the ripple effects of small things is extraordinary. - Matt Bevin

25.01.2022 At BHELC it is a bitter sweet moment as we watch our Bindas transition to primary school. We know that this is an extremely exciting time for them all, however we can’t help feeling a trickle of sadness as we will miss each and every one of them immensely. As our trusted Miss Genny, Miss Laura and Miss Bella are busy preparing the children for school as well as enjoying their last few months of enjoying simply being children before they transition to formalised school. This ...is a wonderful article with videos and resources attached that you may way to read if your child is making the transition to primary school. https://education.nsw.gov.au//documents/getting-ready-for-

24.01.2022 Next week is possibly one of the best weeks of the year at BHELC it is BOOK WEEK! We celebrate book week with in the centre to correspond with national literacy week and spend the week exploring texts, literacy concepts and a wide variety of stories. Your children are more than welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character and/or bring their favourite book.

07.01.2022 We are so grateful to our many families who are keeping their children at home. Your children’s safety is our highest priority, and together we are overcoming this challenging time. We have set a challenge for our staff this fortnight, to share some kind of learning experience for all of our wonderful children who are staying safe at home. Our darling Emma has created a video for your children to watch at home, and to sing and dance along with. We hope you enjoy!

02.01.2022 Unfortunately, we lost a beautiful person we had the pleasure to share our lives with. Louise Wilks mother of Sarah, Felicity and Kate lost her battle with cancer. A beautiful and strong woman, who fought as much as she could. We, my team and I who shared many years caring for two of Louise and Matt’s daughters and having Louise a part of our family are devastated. It makes all the trivialities and insignificance that people complain about make me wonder.... Louise you were a shining star, everyday you greeted us with a smile, admiration and so much gratitude. Not a day went by without you thanking us for caring for your girls. We will miss you so much! Until we meet again beautiful lady
