23.01.2022 A very special book will be launched this morning at 9:30 at Station Square Shopping Centre in Maryborough. Volume 2 of Moments in Time is a beautiful hardback ...book full of interesting historical photos from our region. For the very first time the museums of our region, including the Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum, Brooweena Historical Village & Museum, Bauple Museum, Burrum Mining Museum, Maryborough Wide Bay & Burnett Historical Society Inc., Wide Bay Hospitals Museum Soc. Inc., and the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum have worked together to create a truly wonderful publication. Drop by Station Square and see the different displays by the seven museum and pick up a copy of the book, which would make a great Christmas present. See more

05.01.2022 Adequate mobile phone coverage is important in all regional areas, but it’s particularly critical in places that are prone to natural disasters such as floods o...r bushfires when people need to stay connected with emergency services. Applications are open now for a new round of the $380 million Mobile Black Spot Program to help improve mobile phone coverage in major transport corridors and disaster-prone areas, so if you are aware of a mobile black spot that needs to be fixed, please speak up to your telecommunications provider and your local council. You can also nominate a black spot in your community, by visiting this link on my webpage https://llewobrien.com.au/nominate-a-mobile-phone-black.../ and I will provide this information to the relevant parties.
