22.01.2022 Summer is here, and that means it's time to make a splash at your local outdoor pool! Council's seasonal pools in Drouin, Neerim South, Trafalgar, Thorpdale and Rawson are now open to the community. The summer pool season runs until 31 March 2021. The outdoor pools open when the forecast temperature is set to reach or exceed 25 degrees. Rawson pool is an indoor pool and it's opening days are not weather dependant. ... Open days will be determined at 5.00pm for the following day using the Warragul forecast data provided by the Bureau of Meteorology. so you now have more time than ever before to plan your summer fun. 17.01.2022 Memorial Park in Longwarry and Howard Park in Yarragon are getting an upgrade and we want your input! The playground upgrade projects will be delivered in three stages, with the first stage focused on finding out what the community would like to see included in the designs. Based on the feedback received from the first stage, Council will present three potential designs for each site to the community for further consideration.... 15.01.2022 Over 1200 energy-efficient LED streetlights will be installed across Baw Baw Shire over the current financial year. Council secured funding for the $575,027 project through the Australian Government’s $500 million Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, which supports Councils and communities to bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic. When complete, the project is expected to save about 365 tonnes of greenhouse gases emissions per annum.... Council completed the first stage of the project in 2016, replacing 2,685 mercury vapour streetlights across the Shire to the most energy efficient LED lighting. Click below for more.

The work they do is a direct response to your requests and inspections on the road network We've doubled our investment in roads maintenance to clear more roadside drains, eliminate water ponding on the road surface, improve road safety and make a long term reduction in the number of required... larger road repairs. 11.01.2022 The Victorian Government is introducing a container deposit scheme (CDS) to increase beverage container recycling and reduce litter in Victoria and they want to know what you think. A container deposit scheme works by applying a small deposit to beverages sold to consumers which covers the cost of recycling. When the empty containers are returned to a refund collection point, a cash refund can be collected for each container returned.
