21.01.2022 DARE YOU TO TRY THIS AT ALL OF YOUR MEALS TODAY Its a lot harder than you might think! Its to SLOW DOWN when youre eating by at least 50%. Take your time and really CHEW your food. You get extra credit for turning off all distractions when youre eating, too no TV and no phone!... Studies show that people who say they eat fast gain weight over time and are more than 115% (!!!!) likely to become obese. Just because you have a craving, doesnt mean you have to give up on your goals you can use these tips to have the BEST of both! CRAVING PASTA? try the fibre/protein-rich varieties made out of lentils or chickpeas (these are surprisingly filling!). ... OR, use spiralised veggie noodles they are literally everywhere now in the grocery stores, fresh and frozen. Tip: try using zucchini or eggplant slices in your lasagna. CRAVING ICE CREAM? try whipping up a frozen dessert bowl with 1 cup frozen berries and to cup of your favourite milk. Blend in scoop of your favourite protein powder for more oomph! Scientists think that playing the game distracted them long enough for cravings (which usually last just a short while) to pass. In a study published in the journal Appetite, college students who were having cravings either played a video game or waited for the computer to load. A quarter of the game players reported their cravings went away. Note: it doesnt have to be Tetris, according to the researchers. It can be anything that requires focus and has plenty of eye-grabbing visuals!

06.01.2022 This is what keeps me going when Im having an off day and just dont feel like working out or doing the things that make me better. One of is to stay healthy for my family and to spend as much time as possible with them. The kids are growing up way too fast!... I cant imagine having time cut short with them because I didnt take care of myself. We all have our own reasons for wanting to feel strong, fit, and healthy. One of the keys to staying motivated is to find out exactly your personal whys. Those reasons usually are deeper than we think they can involve our loved ones, confidence, self-esteem, wanting to fight off stress, and so much more. ? ? Let me know in the comments!!!
06.01.2022 If your answer is YES... Its actually pretty common. I know that some workouts, especially big strength & conditioning sessions can do that to me. 20-30 minutes post-workout, the hunger and the cravings hit... Plus, sometimes after a workout, its tempting to think that we deserve it for working so hard! But the truth is, usually Im craving quick energy (like carbs!) and get hungry for things that arent the best for reaching my goals. To stop all this before it starts, I drink a protein shake post-workout. It makes a HUGE difference! Its just enough to keep me fueled and also help me get better results from my workouts. Do you find that your workouts leave you feeling hungry later?
06.01.2022 What I do to stop cravings when I havent slept well the night before... You know what Im talking about the worst! They can really throw you off your game and also make you feel hungry because it throws your hunger hormones out of whack.... ... After I get up and get dressed, I start by making my morning coffee. While its brewing, I throw down a big glass of water to make sure Im starting the day off with those all-important fluids in the system. Next, I make sure my breakfast is high in protein so Im feeling fuller for longer and I can keep those cravings a bay. This could be a protein shake/smoothie, eggs or oats with fruit. !
