We have been down in Willy Prom for a couple of days taking a lil rest but we are back baby, we are back in the game now, refreshed as fuuuck and ready for the trenches of fun once more. So we be taking bookings for this weekend, and next. 17.01.2022 Hello everyone. The government is about to announce a big number of daily new cases. Apparently over 700. Its really important to remember that the daily case ...number is not always the most important number. For instance, we have gone 532, 384, 295 for the last 3 days. So it was starting to look good based on those numbers. So if we add todays 723 we have a total of 1943 cases over 4 days. So the average is 485. If the last 3 days had gone 500, 495, 480 and today was 467 then todays number wouldnt seem so shocking. It all depends on when people get tested and when those tests are processed. The numbers that are very important are the R number or reproduction number, and the 7 day rolling average, both of which have been heading in a good direction of late. Of course, the amount of people who end up in hospital and who pass away is also very important. The media will say OH MY GOSH, 700! They want us all to be completely shocked, but, if those that have tested positive today had been on the previous 2 days then it would seem such a drastic rise at all. This doesnt mean I am saying this is great, not at all. All I am saying is to be logical about the situation and look at all the numbers and facts and keep our collective cool. Panicking will do nothing positive for us at all. Wear your masks, wash your hands, practice social distancing and dont ever become complacent and we will get there. Due to stage 4 restrictions, we are gonna sit the rest of this lockdown out but we will be back when were allowed and can't wait to host live music again and see all our regulars. And @tejodcruz, big love to you for your important input xx It's been a tough six months being closed but with the help of this grant, aka lifeline, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can't wait to get back to hosting live music and to see all your faces again. In the interim, we will be resuming our takeaway and delivery from the bar in the next couple of weeks and will be having a clearout sale on loads of selected beers and wines.
