20.01.2022 With the season nearing a return, we have teamed up with the team at the Australian Sports Foundation to raise some much needed funds. The effect of COVID-19 has hit our small club with the full extent of its power, raising concerns of our ability to continue to operate in our current capacity. Our income stream has completely stopped, and the bills haven't. We need help from our community. We have lost a significant amount in Sponsorship that was a result of hard work from o...ur committee, putting their own time and effort into putting our club in a strong position prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. We would like to take this time to thank our corporate partners who have stuck by us during the pandemic, your support is far more valuable then you may realise. If you are interested in supporting our club going forward, we have a very attractive and beneficial sponsorship program we would love to talk to you about. The Australian Sports Foundation however, has provided us a platform to allow our members, supporters and the broader community to donate to support our club. You can donate by visiting this link: https://asf.org.au/projects/baxter-soccer-club/ We completely understand that a majority of people in our community are in a tough position right now - please do not feel the need to donate if you cannot do so. Although, if you have the financial ability to support us, we would be eternally grateful. But only if you can. Please check out our page, all donations are 100% tax deductible in time for the tax-man. We appreciate your support, and look forward to being back where we belong, at Baxter Park cheering on our boys in Round 1 on the 11th of July. Go Baxter. Bray and the BSC Committee

18.01.2022 The latest news from the governing body. We are so close, nearly back to where we all belong! Hold tight football family, there’s light at the end of the tunnel!...

18.01.2022 If you haven't already, please share and support our fundraiser through the Australian Sports Foundation. All donations are 100% tax deductible in time for the tax-man, so get in before June 30! Thank you so much to those who have contributed by either a donation or sharing to their family and friends - your support is immensely appreciated.... 18.01.2022 ATTENTION Tonight’s AGM has been postponed for 2 weeks to allow for members to attend in person due to the current lifting of COVID-19 restrictions. More details to follow.

17.01.2022 We are incredibly disappointed to have to share this, but we are asking for any information our community might have in relation to who has vandalised our pavilion. We are annoyed that not just someone in our community had the nerve to deface something that our volunteers give hundreds of hours a year to operate and protect, but this would have been done in accordance with the current lockdown and curfew restrictions which these vandals quite clearly do not care for. Any info...rmation the community may have in relation to the offenders would be much appreciated. Please contact our club President Bray Hodgkinson with any information by email on: [email protected] Thanks

17.01.2022 A big happy Easter to our Baxter family and friends! Stay safe in this wierd time and enjoy! See you soon

14.01.2022 A day full of exciting announcements! Perfect weather for some fun! We are excited

14.01.2022 To all players, members, friends, family and the broader football community. As we are all aware, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and measures taken by Football Federation Australia and other governing bodies, all grassroots football has been postponed until April 14. This means this weekends and future fixtures will not go ahead, and all training and club events held within this unknown timeframe will not be going ahead also.... We believe this is the best course of action that has been taken by the powers that be and we will be vigilant in supporting whatever messages that are relayed to us by them in the coming weeks. As always we will keep our members updated at every stage and our committee will continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure not just the safety and well-being of our players, staff and supporters, but also to continue to work hard behind the scenes to continue the growth the club has shown over the past 6 months. We are positive that not just our club but all clubs on the Peninsula will come out of this pandemic stronger and we urge all members to stick with us and trust the process as we all deal with this crisis as best as we can. Our promise to you is that while the doors are closed, our efforts will not switch off and Baxter will be a bigger and better place to come back to once this all subsides with some exciting developments occurring over the coming weeks. Stay safe and look after one another, and we will see you back at the Nest soon Bray and the Baxter SC Committee.

09.01.2022 The first of today's announcements is a nice one! We have teamed up with the wonderful team at It's okay, not to be okay. for the 2020 Season and hopefully beyond. Mental Health is an ongoing concern and the team at Its Okay, Not To Be Okay do a fantastic job not just on the peninsula but all around in supporting Mental Health battles and promoting Suicide Prevention in the community and we are thrilled to support them in their efforts.... The relationship will include a Mental Health Awareness Round or an "Its Okay Not To Be Okay" Round during the Season where we will educate our players, coaches and members about the importance of addressing Mental Health and realising that it is OKAY to not be okay, which we are very pleased about. Speaking about the new relationship, President Bray Hodgkinson stated: "I am absolutely thrilled that we have teamed up with the guys at It's Okay Not To Be Okay, purely because I believe the work they are doing in the community towards mental health awareness and suicide prevention is amazing. I knew Ben and have seen the devastation his loss has caused his family, and to be able to support the girls in their efforts is awesome. As part of my tenure as President I said that I wanted the football club to be actively involved in supporting the community and this is a big step towards achieving that. I also really look forward to helping educate our people and assure them that they have our support every step of the way when and if they ever need it. Incredibly happy to see this project at our club for Season 2020 which is shaping up to be exciting." Join us in welcoming the team to the Baxter SC Family!! 01.01.2022 Clubs have began sharing the following statement. With over 80 clubs joining forces, what will be the outcome? *** OPEN LETTER TO FOOTBALL VICTORIA *** Dear Ex...ecutive committee at Football Victoria On Monday November 23rd a letter was sent to FV via email, (see letter attached) approved by over 70 clubs, listing their concerns about the refunds offered by FV and demand for payment of player registration fees for a season that did not go ahead in 2020. On Friday November 27th a follow up email was sent. At this stage we have not received acknowledgement of receipt of the email nor have we received a time to meet. You now leave us little choice but to request local and state government assistance in procuring this meeting to work through the refund issues noted in the letter. Please note that we are not going away and will not be making any sort of payment until a mutually agreed solution is reached. Regards A disappointed football community and its hard working volunteers #unitedwestandtogther #victorianfootballunited #thelettersbelow Dear Kimon, We are following up on our email sent to you below and letter attached for which we have had no response thus far. Given the importance of this issue for all member clubs in Victoria and the impact this will have on the future of our clubs we are very disappointed to say the least that our email and letter have been ignored. As a matter of courtesy we expected a response acknowledging the receipt of this communication. Given the lack of response from FV we advise you of the following: The 80 Clubs that are now represented with our letter will not be paying the invoices issued for season 2020. This issue will now be escalated to our local MPs, Councils and Consumer Affairs. All Clubs will make their Members aware of the issue relating to FV’s demand for fees for season 2020 through social media channels. All Clubs will create public awareness of the issues we are facing through media channels. It is unfortunate that Victorian Clubs have to now dedicate their time to an issue that could have been avoided during a time where we should be focused on preparing our Clubs for season 2021 and re-engagement of our community and members to our sport. Dear FV Accounts Dept, We are writing to you in reference to your recent communication to Victorian Football Clubs regarding the request for payment of registration fees for season 2020. The basis for your request for payment of 2020 registration fees cannot be justified or agreed to by clubs given the following: 1. Withdrawal of Clubs from season 2020 due to the restrictions and risks associated with COVID-19 2. Non acceptance of players to play at Clubs due to the restrictions and risks associated with COVID-19 3. Lack of payment by Club members of 2020 Club registration fees 4. Refund of fees to members due to the restrictions and risks associated with COVID- 19 and the financial hardship faced by members of Clubs 5. Club liabilities incurred and paid for Club playing strips, equipment, fixed overheads and FFA Cup Player Registration fees 6. Unexpected costs incurred by Clubs due to COVID-19 regulations sanitisation of club rooms, purchase of PPE etc 7. Cancellation of season 2020 by FV due the restrictions and risks associated with COVID-19 8. Lack of income generation opportunities by Clubs Sponsorship, canteen, events etc While the 74 Clubs represented with this letter understand that the FV has incurred expenses this year, it goes without saying that we are all in the same boat. As a football community we need to do what is best for the survival of our sport and ensure that our members can return to our respective Clubs in 2021 and have the same level of service and support from the Clubs they have become accustomed to. It is for this reason we seek a meeting with members of the FV to discuss and agree to an amicable outcome for us all. We look forward to your response

01.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Football Victoria has today announced its Return to Training conditions. The committee will now create an action plan as to how it looks returning to the club, and once we get the green light from Council to return to the club we will do so We will notify everyone as soon as possible. Sit tight everyone, we are nearly there.

01.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT! For those attending tomorrow’s clinic: Please note that all age groups will be from 3-4pm! ... We look forward to seeing everyone there!
