23.01.2022 Baybreeze Dental Care will be closed on Monday 6th May for the Labour Day Public Holiday. Fun Fact: What is Labour Day ? Labour Day is an annual public holiday that celebrates the eight-hour working day, a victory for workers in the mid-late 19th century. The argument for the eight-hour day was based on the need for each person to have eight hours labour, eight hours recreation and eight hours rest.

20.01.2022 We are pleased that due to Australias continued success in controlling the COVID-19 outbreak, restrictions have been lessened. This means that we are now able to provide all dental services including checkups, cleanings and any restorative work that has been postponed. We will continue to be vigilant and screen patients over the phone, maintain physical distancing and hand hygiene practices in the reception areas, taking a temperature upon your arrival and having an addition...al mouthrinse prior to dental treatment. When arriving to the practice, we may ask you to wait in your car or outside until called for the start of your appointment in order to minimise congestion in the reception area. We kindly ask that if you or anyone in your immediate circle are unwell in any way or feeling any cold or flu-like symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath) to please refrain from coming for your dental treatment until all symptoms have resolved. This is not just in regards to COVID-19, but also for the regular cold and flu so that we can keep our staff and other patients healthy. If you have had any appointments postponed in the last 6 weeks we will be in contact soon. We are looking forward to seeing and providing dental care for our patients again. Please call 3286 1932 if you need us as we will have normal opening hours now. Thankyou for your patience during this time and we hope you are all keeping well. See more

19.01.2022 Dental Health week is coming up next week, This year the theme is: How much sugar is hiding in your trolley? Everything we eat and drink in our everyday lives can possibly have a major affect on our teeth and gums. Cavities on your teeth (as some of you may know as soft black spots or holes) is most commonly a diet-related disease that comes as a response to our sugar consumption. Sugar from the foods and drinks we consume everyday is taken up by decay-causing bacteria that... lives on the surfaces of your teeth. These bacteria process the sugar, turning it into acid which then eats at the surfaces of the teeth where it draws all the minerals from the tooth. If this process happens over and over, without any attempt to prevent or stop it, this can eventually result in the formation of tooth decay. What you can do to prevent tooth decay: Drink lots of water water is the best thing for your teeth - it is sugar free and in most parts of Australia it contains fluoride (which is the most cost-effective way to prevent tooth decay) Brush your teeth with a fluoride based tooth paste before bed and first thing in the morning Floss your teeth or pikster between your teeth (this is very important to prevent decay between your teeth) know how much sugar is in your food the average adult intake of sugar per day should be 6 teaspoons - but did you know in 1 can of soft drink there is 16 teaspoons of sugar THAT'S NEARLY 3 X's the daily recommendation. read the label on your foods at home - look at the amount of sugar per 100g. it is best to look for foods with 5g or less sugar per 100g. Between 5g and 10g is okay as well. sugar free gum: studies have shown chewing sugar free gum for 20 minutes after eating can prompt your mouth to produce more saliva, which helps neutralize decay-causing acid attacks. 09.01.2022 Baby teeth help to maintain space for permanent teeth, so it's very important they're well looked after! As soon as your baby's teeth start to appear, brush them with a child-sized, soft toothbrush to prevent tooth decay.

08.01.2022 Rechargeable eletric toothbrushes make brushing easier, faster and more effective than manual toothbrushes. Oral B and Philips Sonicare are two of the main types available. Did you know reduced prices for these brushes and their replacement heads can be found on the shopping website Catch Of The Day. https://www.catch.com.au/. ... Disclaimer: we do not get any payment for endorsing this site or these products. Please do your own research on which brush is best for you and pricing. Visit the Shaver Shop or major department store to check out the brushes in person.

08.01.2022 Wow, just WOW! It really warms our hearts when we find little treasures like this work of art left for us We love seeing children at Baybreeze Dental Care and take pride in creating a chilled and relaxing environment, that also (and most importantly) gives your child the best dental experience possible. ... Did we mention the treasure chest.........?

08.01.2022 Looking after our patients and providing all round care has always been the priority here at Baybreeze Dental Care. We have continued to actively monitor the implications of the COVID-19 virus for our community and following on from recommendations of the Australian Dental Association have taken the step to restrict the type of treatment undertaken at the practice. We will be POSTPONING ELECTIVE and NON URGENT TREATMENT until further notice in an attempt to reduce unnecessar...y contact for both patients and our team and help reduce the spread of this virus. If you have received a reminder from us for your regular exam please call us first before making online bookings, as we will have to defer your appointment for a few months until this crisis has settled down. However, THE PRACTICE REMAINS OPEN AND WE WILL BE TAKING CARE OF URGENT TREATMENT as required. Reducing the volume and scope of work performed allows us to provide emergency treatment to our patients while continuing to provide the safest care possible. IF YOU NEED TREATMENT, PLEASE CALL THE PRACTICE ON 3286 1932 and allow our staff to establish how we can best look after you at this time. To facilitate these changes our normal hours of operation have changed but we will continue to provide as much convenience and flexibility as possible. WE HAVE SUSPENDED OUR ONLINE BOOKING processes so please phone, and if you have an appointment already made, we will be in contact with you shortly to reschedule as needed. How long these changes will be necessary for is hard to predict but by acting in a sensible fashion now hopefully will allow the move back to normality as soon as possible This is an unsettling time for many of us, and this decision hasnt been taken lightly, but by taking appropriate steps now we are hoping to be able maintain the dental care needed to you throughout this time. If you need us, please call.

07.01.2022 Everybody knows brushing is important but toothbrushes alone cannot get into all the gaps between your teeth where most dental decay and gum disease begins. Piksters can access even the most hard to reach places between your teeth and gums delivering a more effective and deeper clean. Great for everyday cleaning between teeth, crowns and bridges, as well as around orthodontic (braces) brackets and wires. These great little brushes are available in a range of sizes to suit all sized spaces and gaps. :)

07.01.2022 Happy World Oral Health Day 2019 . #WOHD2019 #oralhealthmatters #itallstartshere #healthymouthhealthybody

06.01.2022 We have reached Friday - or as our Principle Dentist Kathlyn says FRIYAY!!

05.01.2022 We know electric toothbrushes clean better than manual toothbrushes and here's the latest research - a study over 11 years involving over 2,000 people. Don't have electric? Good news as long as you are brushing twice a day for at least 2 minutes at a time then your mouth will still be better for it! Happy Brushing :)
