10.01.2022 "Where our stories live...." The Batemans Bay Heritage Museum is not just a museum, it is a key resource for our community. Honorary Curator Myf Thompson explains in this video that the museum, located near the Community Centre and the Water Gardens in Batemans Bay, holds records, photograps and archives and is more a place where storytelling happens! The museum is run by volunteers of the Clyde River & Batemans Bay Historical Society. They are part of the @Batemans Bay Busin...ess and Tourism Chamber to interact with the business community, as they are reliant on sponsorship and donations from our community. Our Christmas volunteers will be delivering Christmas trees to Batemans Bay CBD shops.The Batemans Bay Business and Tourism Chamber and Love The Bay BB have proudly sponsored these trees to encourage businesses to 'Decorate the Bay' this festive season! Bunnings Batemans Bay also kindly donated fairy light packs and NAB is generously sponsoring the prizes for the 'Best decorated Christmas tree of the ...Bay businesses' competition. Kmart Australia donated $500 in gift cards. Thanks so much, everyone! The Christmas tree decorating contest is very simple: all businesses that have decorated a Christmas tree will be eligible to win: * $500 (1st prize) - best decorated Christmas tree * $250 (2nd prize) - most uniquely decorated Christmas tree * $250 (3rd Prize) - best attempt to decorate shop overall (tree and other decorations) The Batemans Bay Business and Tourism Chamber's executive committee will draw the prizes on 24th December 2020.
