22.01.2022 GOOD NEWS! We’re very pleased to announce the Bay Escape has been awarded $5,000 from the State Government’s Community Events Fund. Part of the funds will go towards a new website to give the festival a permanent online home, streamline event processes and of course, showcase the wonderful little town of Port Mac. A big thanks to Minister for Tourism David Ridgway for supporting us and here's to a huge Bay Escape for 2020.... thanks to LC Aerial

13.01.2022 What a day! Thanks to the thousands of people, wonderful stallholders and gang of musos who descended on Port Mac's main street to make the 2019 Bay Escape a ripper of a day. In fact, you were all having such a good time dancing away, we're sorry we had to close the gates at 6pm! Yes, the fresh salty breeze gave us all nice windswept hairdos (and provided some much needed internal aircon for Jay the Cray) but hey, it's Port Mac - at least it wasn't raining.... Entrants will be rated on style, longevity and of course, an elegant dismount. They might be masters in their own fields but can... they master the mighty mechanical waves?!
