25.01.2022 The Chef's behind our incredible menu's! At Bay Explorers we set the foundation of nutrition through our exceptional fresh meals, made daily by Mr Ash, Mr Andy and Mr Craig. Good nutrition is necessary for the active growth and development... that takes place in the early years. Good eating habits and a well-balanced diet support children’s health and well being, and minimize the risk of illness. Eating habits developed in the early years are likely to have a lifelong influence. These years are crucial times for eating a variety of foods and developing eating behaviors and food preferences. The greater the variety of foods that children are exposed to in their early years, the greater the likelihood that they will eat a range of foods as an adult. Mr Ash, Mr Andy and Mr Craig embed a love for good food with our children everyday! #bayexplorershappybellies #bayexplorerstransparency

05.01.2022 In the nursery room, we have been looking at ways to explore indigenous culture and heritage for NAIDOC week. We set up a yarning circle in our yard to use for, songs, stories and to introduce our own little acknowledgment to country. We will continue with our yarning circle from here on out to continue with this learning and recognition. The use of a yarning circle (or dialogue circle) is an important process within Aboriginal culture and Torres Strait Islander culture. It has been used by Indigenous peoples from around the world for centuries to learn from a collective group, build respectful relationships, and to preserve and pass on cultural knowledge. #LearningatBayExplorers

04.01.2022 Introducing Urraween' s Assistant Educator in Nursery in 2020! Miss Maria What would you do with your 15mins of fame? ... - I would use it to promote ways of preventing child poverty around the world. Why did you choose early childhood as your profession? - It all started when I use to volunteer as a helper when my son was at preschool. That was when I decided to study and be a part of the early childhood profession. 17 years and i still love and enjoy coming to work each day. For me the most rewarding part of this progression is knowing by the end of the day I helped to make a difference in a child's life. Best advice a mentor has given me? - Learning to go with the flow and focus my energy and attention on things I can make a difference with. This goes with adopting a positivity attitude and letting life carry me along instead of fighting against it. #WeAreBayExplorersFamily
