06.01.2022 With the Environmental Impact Statement soon to be filed in relation to the destruction of the bay at Toondah Harbour, its time to pull together, make some nois...e and get the conversation continuing about why this project is a disaster. We found out this week the channels for the boats going to Straddie are fine the way they are and only needed to be "upgraded" to allow for all the new boats the marina and residential development would bring! What the?? Destroying an internationally recognised (like world heritage) wetland is completely unacceptable. We are asking people to 1) Visit your local member, doesn’t matter if you’re not in the Redlands, and tell them you don’t want the bay to be destroyed. 2) Write to the Federal Environment Minister Sussan Ley and tell her your concerns about the project. 3) Please sign and share the below petition from Judith - Birdlife Australia. 4) If you are really angry and want to do more send us a message to get active or RSVP to one of our roadside actions. https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//petit/petition-details See below for how beautiful the bay is. We don't want it turned into concrete. See more
