25.01.2022 If anybody needs Christmas Hams or other fine meats, you can't go past Hansa Butchery. The Chief Pirate has known the family for over thirty years and like everyone from all walks of life, this has been a tough year. They have been very supportive of the Pirates since Day One. Businesses in the Hospitality industry have been through a very rough patch, so if you need anything, contact Jacqui at Hansa or order on line. They also have a marvelous Cafe / Restaurant / Food Shop....called the Chopping Block! (What else would they call it??!) https://www.hansaaustralia.com.au/menu

07.01.2022 Outdoor Futsal League Update After six rounds of outdoor futsal, the Cruisers and Young Guns, in the Youth League, have secured top spots one and two, respectively, going into the Grand Final on the 19th December. With two more round robin matches to be played, they cannot be over taken. By finishing one and two, they have avoided playing each other in the Semi-final. As this is a split league for the Grand Final, the three younger teams still have to battle it out for the au...tomatic Grand Final spot. This means the Destroyers must beat Heart FC and hope that the Cruisers do them a favour by beating Metropolitan Thunder in their match next week. In the Girls League, the Pearls and Sapphires are catching up to the high flying Murray Bears, with the matches being closer. The Sapphires won 8-6 and the Pearls drew 12-12 with the Bears on Saturday. The 11 Boys are not out of it yet, despite being on the wrong side of the ladder. A confidence boosting win next week will see them go into the finals with an outside chance of making the Grand Final. Its been tough for the Seahawks in the 12s and it looks like they will have to play in the qualifying final to make the semi finals in two weeks time. But, anything can happen! The Falcons just need one win from one of their games next week to qualify for the semi finals. In the 14s, the high flying EFA Eagles look unstoppable, having won all of their games. It will be tough for the Sharks, as they will be playing them in the Semi-finals on Grand Final Day, but, you just never know, as you would expect a Shark to clip an Eagle wing? The Stingrays are in a slightly better position, level pegging with East City, but they will be playing each other in the Semi-finals. Plenty of action is still to come in round four next Saturday, before the big day on the 19th.
