25.01.2022 This was a labour of love for a small recreational fishing club in Central Queensland. The timber is Central Queensland Rosewood. The finish is polyurethane. Definitely only a trophy. The weight would sink it to the bottom.

24.01.2022 My first ‘post carpal tunnel’ piece. Huon Pine with Rose Mahogany laminations. Finished with lacquer.

24.01.2022 Ed H has continued with his yarn bowls using some good wood combinations to great effect.

24.01.2022 Robert used up some off cuts to make this lazy Susan because he had the bearing. It was to go elsewhere but his wife won’t let it leave the house. No wonder.

23.01.2022 Alan R's COVID Project : "I have finally finished it today. The main usage is as a Router Table but I have made the top interchangeable with the plan to add a Table Saw top and possibly a Joiner top."

20.01.2022 Now here is a treat for our members: From BILL SEDGWICK : The lockdown has been good for me I managed to turn the lathe on most days This small huon pine piece 150 x 90 is meant to be a copy of a baptismal font I saw in a Cathedral in England. It dated back to Henry the VIII.... Most of the skirt was covered with beautiful carving all sadly affected by fire (Henry’s handiwork). I am not clever enough to attempt any carving but have scorched the under side of the skirt. See more

19.01.2022 Maurie M has produced this magnificent piece of intarsia in his first larger piece. Our Intarsia group is growing in size and expertise. Led so capably by Rod they are doing a great job and obviously enjoying themselves.

15.01.2022 Laurie G’s two COVID pieces, a she oak lidded box and 3 cones, 2 of western Queensland rosewood and one of camphor. Both pieces finished in lacquer.

09.01.2022 Bill B is still working but can still find the time to continue producing these lovely bowls from a selection of Burls. Lovely timber and lovely work from a member who has only been with us since Redfest last year.
