22.01.2022 Year 11 PE attended the gym at TAFE last week to apply the theory and skills they have been learning in class. This experience allowed students to investigate and demonstrate joint actions, identify muscle contraction types and which muscles are the prime movers in a variety of exercises. Great job Year 11! #year11 #herveybayschooling #healthandfitness

20.01.2022 As we head into the Christmas season where families might have some downtime together, now is a timely reminder to brush up on your knowledge of all things onli...ne, apps and social media related, and help your kids have safe experiences online. Our friends over at the Office of the eSafety Commissioner have put together a series of tips for parents and carers to help limit your children’s exposure to harmful content online. Engage in your child’s online activities ask what apps, sites and games they’re using and make sure they’re age-appropriate. Use parental controls on devices to help limit what your child is exposed to. Help them report and block upsetting content they see on social media sites or apps. Let them know they can come to you about anything upsetting they see online. For more advice on apps, social media and online safety issues, head to eSafety now www.esafety.gov.au/parents

15.01.2022 Today 4D made and proudly wore poppies as an enduring symbol of remembrance, honouring those that sacrificed so much for our very freedom. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning... We will remember them." Lest We Forget. #Lestweforget #ANZACS #poppies #Remembranceday2020

14.01.2022 The Junior Spinnaker students were tasked with the project to grow the largest sunflower. With the generous donation from Bunnings, each student was provided a pot and sunflower seeds and had to document the growth process. Some grew really tall, some grew not much at all, but it was exciting to learn the different stages of plant growth. With no full flowers yet, we are hoping that a few extra days and our flowers will truly blossom. #sunflowers #spinnaker #growthforgrowth #mathinlife #specialpurpose #herveybayschools
