14.01.2022 2020 has been challenging in many ways, but it has also been rewarding in a number of ways. Coming into this year, we made a list of initiatives we were hoping to achieve - and we've done a pretty good job given the circumstances. We are so grateful for all of you, our church community, for continuing to support many of our projects and have embraced technology for some of our courses and programs. One of these is the new Discipleship Pathway which has seen nearly 200 peopl...e complete the first step and almost 100 complete the second step already. If you're interested in participating in Step to God (the first step) we encourage you to register for the session on Saturday 10 October at 9am on zoom. Whether you have been a Christian for many years or are new to the faith, we highly recommend joining in with this session, and the entire pathway. You can register here: https://bit.ly/3bTSAqQ If you've previously completed these, let us know what you thought in the comments below to encourage others to join in.

14.01.2022 As we slowly - but surely - start to see restrictions eased here in Victoria, be encouraged and inspired by this devotion from Ps Sandra. Take some time today to make space with God and let the joy and hope of the Lord strengthen you!

11.01.2022 It's exciting to see more restrictions eased here in Melbourne. Take a couple of minutes to watch this update on how we're planning the way back to in-person gatherings at Bayside Church #church #Jesus #melbourne #Bible #churchonline

11.01.2022 This week’s #BCTeamThursday goes to the birthday boy Jimmy Day. Jimmy is normally the one who is behind all our social media posts, so you will be happy to know he isn’t writing this one. Jimmy has his fingers in quite a few pies he does communications, pastoral care, preaches and is part of the men’s ministry team and COVID-safe team. Jimmy is mostly responsible for the office shenanigans that come around, ensuring that we don’t always take life too seriously a...nd can have a laugh. We think Jimmy has a great attitude and he recently proved that when his beloved Geelong lost the Grand Final. Jimmy is always willing and able to help out and loves to see people connecting with God and others. He is passionate about helping people develop their faith and loves to teach the Word. We do at times question some of his shirt selections on Bayside Church Online, but love the fact that he is raising funds for Movember (even with that mo!). Jimmy is our office 8, never afraid to ask a question or to challenge the status quo. He is teachable and loves to come alongside others. Jimmy, today on your birthday, we honour and thank God for you being part of our church family. Tell us what you love about Jimmy.

02.01.2022 It's that time of the week where we honour someone on the team for #BCTeamThursday! This week, we honour Kaye. More comfortable behind the scenes, Kaye does so much. Whether it is running events, co-ordinating services (in person or online), equipping and checking in on our connect group leaders and every so often imparting wisdom through an offering message or encouraging the church to get involved, everything Kaye does is with 100% commitment, passion for the house... and integrity. Kaye (and her family) are great examples of faithfulness and steadfastness to the house, are a shining example of hard work and perseverance and bring tremendous value to our church community. Kaye, we think you are great and are so grateful for all you do. What do you love about Kaye? See more
