19.01.2022 Protect your family. Book in and get your FLUVAX. Ph 8295 1890. Thank you all from the Team here at Bayside Family Medical - It is so good to see how the people of South Australia have worked cohesively and conscientiously together with the medical workers, the planners, the cleaners, the shop assistants, the carers, the leaders and all the other heroes out there to keep our community safe. Many are doing it tough. It's beautiful to see how many people are putting effort into bringing joy to others. Almost everyone is maintaining social distance and just staying alone or in pairs or small household groups. Complacency is now our biggest risk. Keep up the great work! Here is a message from The Wiggles - & its for all of us! https://youtu.be/jUmSiLXesKI
18.01.2022 Keep that curve flattened. Well done all. Your continued efforts are saving lives. Keep up the great work! At Bayside we take looking after you and your family the community seriously. We are here for you for the long term, including though the difficult times. We have changed the way we do things. We are here to look after you. To keep everybody safe we are offering consultations by phone from the comfort and security of your own home when possible. When you do need... to be seen, we maintain a safe social distancing environment. Flu vaccines are in. Book yours now. Most of us, especially children, are likely to manage COVID-19 without drama. So what is all the fuss continue to be about? There will be a minority who are badly impacted, and we do need to make sure there are ICU beds for them, and nurses and doctors available to look after them. Too many people infected too quickly will mean too many people needing ICU beds at one time, and there will not be enough. The people above the healthcare capacity line in the diagram are (putting it simply) the people who die. What we all need to do: Wash our hands. Stay home and self-isolate when unwell with a respiratory illness. Take it seriously. Do not go to your GP or anywhere out and about if you have a respiratory illness. Call for advice instead. If we can continue to slow the spread, the medical system will continue cope. It is imperative we continue to do this and it is up to all of us. This is a time where we all can be heroes.
17.01.2022 Times are hard for many people so at Bayside we are currently bulk billing all telephone appointments for everyone. We now have appointment spaces available. The focus lately has been on the Pandemic. This remains important, but it is also vital that other medical conditions continue to managed, and routine health maintenance checks are not overlooked. Some situations still require a face to face appointment, and these can be arranged after telephone triage. We maintain strict hygiene and distancing standards, to maintain safety for all, including our most vulnerable. Bayside Family Medical Practice Here for the long term for you and your family, in good times and in tough times.
