23.01.2022 It was a huge honour to have been presented with the Eddie the Emu Award, from Mayor @darrenbraund today 'Congratulations to Tiff Falzon of Bayside Glamping who is the latest winner of the Eddie the Emu Award! Tiff returned home to Marion Bay 18 months ago to set up Bayside Glamping and more recently the Tiny House off-grid accommodation. She was chosen for lifting the bar in luxury camping and marketing, setting a great example for other local accommodation providers... to follow. 23.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to the best dad in the world ... go on, try and fight me on that!! Words can't describe how lucky and thankful I am for getting this man as my father! I'll never be able to show my appreciation enough for dad helping me get so ahead in life by being the muscles behind my business. His carpentry expertise and eye for using reclaimed materials really sets Bayside apart, and make both the Tent and Tiny House completely unique experiences. I'm not sure h...ow many of you know that I actually live with my dad, in my old room.. and there's honestly no where else I'd want to live in this moment of time. Dad welled up when I told him that he's my best friend... we really have such a great relationship, and are so lucky we get to spend this quality time together as adults. The last year of building the tiny house really was a hard slog, but we were so lucky to get that time together, building what became an extremely challenging, yet rewarding project. On the days where we needed a little pick me up, I'd crank the 70s tunes, and the work site would turn into an instant disco, where dad would be transported back to his heyday ... our family can dance, but boy we can't sing haha. I'm looking forward to this next chapter with dad... where we can enjoy our morning coffee with the doggies that little bit longer, and not have to rush off to work. I'm looking forward to watching dad finally have more time to do his little projects in the garden.. and I'm looking forward to being more present, and enjoying this rare moment in time together. 20.01.2022 Introducing our Tiny House My amazing dad and I have built a fully off the grid tiny house, at a secluded site, nestled amongst the wildlife. We've created a totally unique space, basing the design off our family home, and doing dad's speciality of using as much reclaimed materials as we could.... The interior styling has taken on a 'farmyard chic' vibe, that reflects the rural setting, and materials that we've used. The inviting loft bedroom is accessed by a ladder, and has a queen size mattress with linen and cotton bedding, and immense views of the area. Our gorgeous indoor kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. We’ve supplied 5 varieties of @saha_botanica loose leaf teas and you'll also receive a delicious complimentary bottle of wine from @barleystackswines Our lounge room and breakfast bar have more amazing views of the surrounding grasslands, and gas heating that warms up the place in minutes. Our luxurious indoor bathroom has a hot shower, vanity and composting toilet. We’ve supplied Organic Cotton towels from @Ecodownunder, and shampoo and conditioner from @naturallook_australia. The outdoor kitchen and farm-style hut, really completes the site. They are fully constructed from pallets and other reclaimed timber, with the unique edition of Lysaght tin off my boyfriend's family's old roof. The hut has uninterrupted views of the gorgeous grasslands, and is the perfect spot out of the elements to cosy up and watch the spectacular sunsets. The combination of the twinkling fairy lights and sparkling night sky from our deck makes it a truly magical setting... so magical in fact that my first guests to stay (my VIPs that have glamped 5 times) got engaged on it at the start of the week!!!... a huge congrats to @ferndoingthings and @roaanbreedt Let's not forget the mega shout out to my amazing dad; George I can never thank you enough for this!!!! 17.01.2022 Another HUGE congratulations to my fave glampers; @ferndoingthings and @roaanbreedt Some of you may have already heard their amazing news from my Launch Email Fern and Roaan have been supporting me since the start, and have stayed in the tent 5 times!! So of course I wanted to offer them the first stay in the Tiny House. They gave the site a little test run before we launched, where we found out we needed to buy new solar batteries ... After a roller-coaster of a day (they hit a roo) Roaan popped the question on the deck after dinner, and Fern messaged me to tell me what happened... all with a mouthful of chicken she said I couldn't be happier for these guys! They have been absolute pleasures to get to know, and even pick me up supplies from Costco to bring down! (Besides hitting the roo) this was an amazing way to kick off the Tiny House See more
