20.01.2022 Good news! Our weekly classes at Seaford resume on Wednesday 25 November, at 9:15am. Bookings are essential, as we are limited to 10 people at the Elements of Happiness studio. You can book by email, phone or text. The Mt Eliza venue remains closed, so our Tuesday evening classes are still on hold.

20.01.2022 Jai Jagdeesh, whose music we often use in the classes, was a big hit at the recent Kundalini Yoga festival in Queensland. For those who couldnt be there and those who want to relive the experience, she has a concert in Melbourne on Sunday. There is also a workshop. Scroll down for more details.

19.01.2022 The gong bath on Monday evening at The Elements of Happiness, Seaford, will be the last for a while, as the Monday Meditation sessions there are undergoing a revamp. Well still use the gong in the classes, but if youre looking for an extended session, this is it for the moment. Details at https://www.facebook.com/events/2354471004668965/

19.01.2022 Weve had some similarity in questions after classes in recent weeks, so here are the answers to a few of them, in case other people are also thinking along the same lines. Gong events: Ill always tell you at the classes and via social media and the website about anything Im involved in, but here are some other resources: Jody at www.kundaliniyogarisingyoga.com.au often holds gong events. Mostly at her studio in Warneet, YogaCita in Carnegie, or at Kundalini House in North ...Fitzroy. Were planning on doing another one together, later in the year. Cathy from http://www.kyogawithcathy.com.au has an email list that will keep you up to date with some of the gong events around town. We hold overnight gong pujas at Kundalini House approximately three times each year. Cathy usually mentions them in her email list. (Ive moved myself to the reserve bench for this one, but youll still get to hear my symphonic gong at our regular classes.) Music and mantras: If you want to hear them more than once or twice each week in the classes, you can download them or buy CDs from the sites listed at https://baysidekundaliniyoga.com.au/resources/. Another option is Adi Shakti Radio, which plays them 24/7. Kundalini Yoga Festival: Nearly time! This year its near Brisbane, during the first weekend in October. Tickets are still available. Finally, with this spring weather, maybe youre feeling a desire to return to classes, if you havent been able to come recently. This week will be ideal for that, as the kriya consists of a nice set of familiar postures. None of the unusual ones this week. If you cant make it and are looking for online or hard-copy resources instead, do let me know; Im happy to share the ones I know about.

14.01.2022 Happy families. Even though we do our best to create them, sometimes its not so easy. In this weeks classes were doing a kriya and meditation designed to help. All welcome; even if youve not tried Kundalini Yoga before.

13.01.2022 Thank you to the people at Mia for a fun Chris Kringle gift. No, we haven't used it for drinking games... yet. Enjoy the festive season everyone. See you at the classes again in mid-January.

13.01.2022 This post isnt about Kundalini Yoga. Its something that the Transcendental Meditation (TM) people have posted in the current situation, and Im happy to recommend it. It will enhance your current meditation practice, whatever that is. It doesnt seek to replace or alter your practice; rather, its designed to deepen it. The idea is to start at Day 1 and work through the whole series. Some of the early material, like diaphragm breathing and alternate nostril breathing, might... be familiar to you already. Its worth persevering with though. Theres real gold as you go through the different sessions. In episode 14, the presenter, Tony Nadar, starts talking about interesting stuff like their ideas on consciousness and matter. There are little gems like that buried all through the series. The series is available on both Facebook and Instagram. Hope you enjoy it.

12.01.2022 Do you sleep as well as this guy? This week were doing a kriya and meditation designed to help improve your sleep. You can join us even if youve never done yoga before everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace and respect their own capabilities.

10.01.2022 Enjoying all the posts from people describing how they celebrated Yogi Bhajans birthday on 26 August. Our gong session just happened to fall on the same day. Not surprisingly, it was a special one. Thanks Kez, for making it possible, and to everyone who participated, for bringing your beautiful souls and wonderful energy. And most of all, to Yogi Bhajan, for giving us all the gift of Kundalini Yoga.
