24.01.2022 URGENT UPDATE | As a consequence of a positive COVID test at Parklands Christian College, Park Ridge Football Club is closed until further notice. Players or st...aff who attend the school or those who have been in close contact with someone attending the school are NOT TO ATTEND FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES AT ANY OTHER CLUB until further notice. A decision on matches at Park Ridge or involving Park Ridge for this weekend will be made in the next 24-36 hours once further advice comes to hand. Football Brisbane reminds all those involved with the game of the following important points: All clubs must ensure they are meeting contact tracing and attendance tracking requirements through the use of the QR code reporting system provided by FQ, or another method. Please do not attend football activities if you feel unwell. If you attend football activities when unwell, it puts other members of the community at risk as well as the future football season. Follow directives from the Chief Health Officer and Queensland Health, especially those that may have been in close contact with someone from Parklands Christian College. 17.01.2022 Greetings fellow Baysiders. Has anyone tried Yoga? I am sure their are some among us mum's and dad's who love it, can do the splits and look down on their dog while greeting the sun. Not me, not one bit, I desire to be that flexible, especially when I am chasing my 7 and 5 year old who keep pestering about when the football's going to start at Bayside?!!... Well I have good, no, GREAT news. No hesitations this time the Football for our young lads and lasses is back from Monday. Whilst I am not physically flexible, I try to be as flexible in other ways as I can. We have all had to be over the last few months, life's changed, a few times for some, and may not be the same again. And so it goes for our football season. As Manager's/Parent's I am giving you guys the details...as many as I can, so you can feed this info back to your teams. SO here goes... My mobile no: 0420233771. TRAINING for U'8's is organised for the following teams: Bayside Eagles - 5pm - 6pm Tuesday Red Devils 5pm - 6pm Monday Ninja's 4.30pm - 5.30pm Thursday Tornadoes 4.30pm - 5.30pm Thursday Tigers 5pm - 6pm Friday TRAINING FOR THE REMAINING TEAMS IS YET TO BE FINALISED. THERE ARE TIMES AVAILABLE. PLEASE CALL ME TO ARRANGE ASAP. TRAINING commences Monday 13th July 2020. You are welcome to come along next week or wait until the week after...up to you. PLAYING commences Saturday 25th July 2020. ($5 dollars per game payable to the manager on the day.) Under 8's will play at 8am Saturday. The season will run in the following way: 25th July to 19th September (inclusive). One weekend break 26th September. All Games (Under 6's, Under 7's and Under 8's) will then SHIFT to Friday nights from the 6th October until 28th November. This is to accommodate the start of summer sports. We have received a directive from Football Brisbane that if players aren't registered and paid or have entered into an agreement to pay in installments, we are not allowed to accommodate them at the club for training or game play. PLEASE...If you have any players in this situation who want to play, again, please get them to call or email me. We want as many players as we can get playing football. Of course there are COVID-19 restrictions and they are as follows: There is to be no parking inside the grounds of the club. The car park is off limits. Please park on the street. This is to ensure we are aware of people arriving and can direct them to the sign-on sheets and hand-sanitizer. There will be a table for you to register attendance at matches, as I am sure you have had to do at Cafes, restaurants etc. This is for contact tracing purposes should the undesirable happen and we need to get in touch with people. Please complete the COVID Training by following the link I sent in my earlier email. We ask that one parent per child attend at the side-line. The other parent is welcome to have a coffee at the clubhouse.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to our Under 12 Division 1 Girls, winners of the Plate Championship. The girls started the season strongly winning five of their six games and drawing the other whilst trialling for Division 1. They finished in equal 5th place for the season earning them a spot in the Plate Championship. They came through this undefeated to be crowned U12 Division Girls Plate Champions. Congratulations again girls. Congratulations also to Coach Ian and Manager Michael, two very passionate supporters of female Football at Bayside.

13.01.2022 It's January already and before we know it the kids will be back at school and the new football season will be upon us! This season's Under 6 - Under 8 in house competition at Bayside promises to be bigger than ever, and we're already taking registrations! For those who participated last year and for anyone keen to get their little ones (boys and girls) involved this year, you can register on the Play Football site (link below). Make sure to nominate Bayside United Sports & ...Recreation Club (not the one in Victoria!) on the Club Registration page. https://www.playfootball.com.au/ All games up to under 8 are played on Saturday mornings at Bayside - so no travel for the little ones (or parents!). Each player gets club shorts and socks to keep as part of their registration fee, are allocated a team at our Muster day (in February - TBC) and given their team shirt for the season, which runs from April to September. To get you in the mood, we've shared a couple of photos from last year's Under 7 competition (thanks to Elena McMullan for providing and the parents for their consent!). 13.01.2022 Masters O45 GF Result: With both Masters Teams qualifying for their respective GF’s, the O45’s were up first in somewhat hot conditions. Having finished Premiers in their Division, the Team were keen to put the icing on the cake taking on 2nd placed Moggill (coincidentally the only Team to beat them during the regular season). From the opening whistle, Bayside dominated play & within 10 min, were up 2-0. An arm wrestle ensued with Moggill never really threatening & Bayside p...utting away a 3rd before halftime. At halftime, the talk was all about continuing the commitment of the 1st half & a 4th goal would break the game open, but that Moggill also play with heart & would come at us hard. While that 4th goal eventually proved to be prophetic, it was not before Moggill was awarded a dubious penalty 5 mins in. A brilliant save ensued by Bayside’s Keeper Allan Greig only for the linesman to controversially call a ‘2nd step’ & for the penalty to be retaken. Moggill converted to make it 3-1, & put them back in the game. Bayside’s commitment was not to be understated & within minutes of the restart hit back to break the game open at 4-1! Bayside continued ruthlessly putting away another 4 goals to put an exclamation mark on their wonderful season with an extremely well deserved 8-1 GF win! While every player contributed, special mention goes to Dave Green for his 5 goals, & Andrew Dale for his 3 goals & setting up of numerous others! Co-Managers/Coaches Tarek Baytieh & Stephen Stafford couldn’t have been more proud of their Teams achievements this season & look forward to taking it up to the Div 1 Teams in 2021. See more

02.01.2022 Now that the lockdown is close to over (phew!), don't forget that as well as having teams in Brisbane Premier League & Capital divisions, and running a booming juniors division, we also offer Men's Over 35 and Over 45 teams too! It's 11 a-side football in a social setting, with games usually on Friday evening's to accomodate weekend family commitments. Last year was a great success for our Masters, with Over 45's winning their comp and Over 35's finishing runners up after a ...nail-biting GF loss.
