25.01.2022 FOLLOWING TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT ALL FURTHER TRAINING IS SUSPENDED IMMEDIATELY To our players - we are very sorry for the uncertainty you have endured so far this season and are now facing once again We are so proud of each and every one of you. Your conduct at training and respect of the Covid infection prevention measures has been commendable. Thank you all and please keep up these safety measures in your homes in the coming weeks ... Sadly, we have to be realistic with you. This announcement today does put the 2020 season in jeopardy. We will keep you posted with any outcomes as soon as we hear Regardless of whether the season goes ahead, we are ALL STILL AVAILABLE FOR ALL JUNIOR PLAYERS THROUGHOUT THIS TIME. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if anyone in your family needs extra support. We are Bayswater and we look after each other Please pick up the phone if you need. Thank you to our volunteer Team Officials who continue to ride the roller-coaster that the season has become. Every one of our Team Officials has our player's best interests at heart during this time. Sending love to our Bayswater JFC families and the whole junior footy community

24.01.2022 Heres a win for the children in our community with some brilliant upgrades planned for our beautiful train park! We love this iconic part of Bayswater being connected to our home ground and value the importance of maintaining this special space for all families to enjoy! 23.01.2022 PLAYER PROFILE 2020 MICK AULSEBROOK U17s "I have been a player at Bayswater junior football club since 2011 and this 2020 season would have been my 10th junior season. ... This year I was most excited about playing in a new team with the players from last year U15s as some of them have filled in over the years. It was great training and building friendships with these boys. One of the main reasons I played footy was because I enjoyed the team and club environment and how inviting and friendly it always is. I felt being apart of a growing team was quite special to me as you can see everyone grow and become better players and people. Having heard that the season had ended this year was quite upsetting as this would have been my last junior season. This wont stop me from continuing at Bayswater as in the future I hope to play u19s and play some sort of role within the junior club over the next few years. Id also like to thank all of the coaches, committee and other volunteers for all their help and hard work over my decade at BJFC. - Mick A #26"

22.01.2022 Our Under 8s embraced having the whole ground to themselves this morning! Limits on team numbers have been lifted, with full contact training now allowed. All other protocols remain in place for the safety of our families

22.01.2022 WE HAVE NEW LIGHTS! Our lack of car park lighting had created numerous safety concerns over time, including for our little Auskickers on our busy Friday nights. Now our ground is lit like a Christmas tree!... New solar lights have been installed throughout the carpark, around the ground and even across the bridge and along the path to the senior ground. It's fabulous and better than we could have hoped for, a massive improvement to allaying safety concerns The next development is incredibly exciting! Having female friendly facilities and upgraded Club rooms is a dream come true. We can't wait! Thanks very much Jackson Taylor MP and Knox City Council!

18.01.2022 PLAYER PROFILE SIENNA MALONEY U18S "This year would have been my second season of junior football.... I was most looking forward to playing in a new team this year as well as building new friendships and achieving my goals. I chose to join footy as I wanted to try something new and I have always aimed to show people that girls can achieve anything. Im very heartbroken that this season was cancelled as this year was going to be my first year in under 18s and I had set new goals for myself. Last year I received runners up best and fairest and was hoping to top that. I am going to continue working on my skills in hopes for next year which will be my final year of junior footy. I also was elected to complete a leadership course along with Emily Prior which was an amazing honour, I hope to further work on my skills as a leader ready for under 18s next year. My little sister Tigerlily has just joined the under 8s so we were the oldest and youngest girls at the club this year, plus my 2 brothers play. I want to thank all the coaches and staff from Bayswater junior football club and everyone who has helped me get to where I am today." - Sienna Maloney #27

12.01.2022 PLAYER PROFILE JAMIE PETERS U17S "My name is Jamie Peters, and this year I would have been playing for the U17s team. Ive played 97 games so far and will be playing my 100th game next season at the same time as my good mate Higgos 50th. Fortunately for me I am a bottom age player, so I have the opportunity to represent our club again next season.... I was really excited to continue on what I thought was a pretty good year for myself and the team in 2019, narrowly missing the grand final in such a close game and great season. I was really upset, but I knew that if we all kept up our hard work, wed be an even better team next season. I was pretty devastated when the season was cancelled, because we put in so much work through the summer. But I know that if we keep on working hard through this year, well be even better when we come back. Its a big shame to miss out on playing with all the top age players that I played with last year when I filled in for U17s with some of the boys. I also help out assistant coaching for the U8s, and used to help out with Auskick. It has been great to give back to the community that has done so much for me and has also given me a lot more respect for the volunteer coaches who have made me the player I am today. Big thank you to all the coaches, committee & volunteers who put in so much hard work that makes it possible for us to play footy." - Jamie P #15
