17.01.2022 We here at #bAY-uN-dER-gROUND love live music, good vibes, and a cool space to rock out and let the music make our heads nod, our hearts sing, and our bodies dance. Nearly a couple years ago now I was privileged to take part In Putting on a totally diy, underground gig with some new found mates that only music has the power of bringing together in complete unity.... the show was put on in a secret location in the blue mountains and it was called the subterrain generator pa...rty and it was an epic night of sweet melodic tunes, noise and fusion all in an old highway concrete underpass where the acoustics bounced around in all sorts of strange ways to create a sound scape that was both surreal and mind warping... Subterrain was the brain child of a couple good mates of mine up in the blue mountains and I’ve been inspired by them and that gig ever since, and I have been grateful ever since for having been able to part of it... some of the bands that were featured were sounds of agriculture, Paperhill , Sonori , deep s bass, and a couple other bands which I’m hoping will forgive me for forgetting their names... please check out all these guys and show em some love... Hundreds of peeps rocked up and out, not one single person got hurt or injured... the night went off without a hitch with everyone returned home safely with a ton of very cool memories... One of the things I noticed the most was that at that gig, everyone was there purely for the music and the musicians which is a little different to pubs and clubs in general where punters can be there for multiple reasons... now there is nothing wrong with that and I praise the likes of some of our local pubs for backing the live music industry in every way they can like The Moruya waterfront and The Steampacket nelligen. These guys put on awesome regular live events that you should totally always keep an eye out for and support... But I’ve also noticed that there isn’t any music only venues on the far south coast, they are either restaurants, clubs or pubs... and there are basically zero all age events and I’d like to rectify that as well... And lastly, there is some insane musical talent floating around the far south coast both young and old that I really want to tap into.... This is the foundation that has inspired #bAY-uN-dER-gROUND. We have got some really cool gigs planned for 2021 in some spaces that you wouldn’t normally expect to have a live show put on... first ones will be coming end of feb and early April at this point... so watch this space. 09.01.2022 Hey all, welcome to #bAY-uNDER-gROUND. (Cover Photo taken from the Subterrain generator party thanks to Michael Hoffman and his band @soundsofagriculture, and all the awesome peeps who helped put that gig together, it was a blast, and I hope to recreate the same thing on the south coast). We are super excited to bring some very cool, very talented, local and interstate bands and musicians to put on shows @ various super cool, underground, private venues, somewhere on the f...ar South coast in 2021. Locations will be announced as we organise each event. We already have two in the works for early in the year and we will also be organising a new weekend festival that we hope will turn into an annual event. More info on those coming soon so keep your eyes peeled. The music industry has been one of the hardest hit industries throughout Covid, so our vision here @ #bAY-uNDER-gROUND is to re-connect these super talented musicians to the ears of all the live music lovers out there by finding super cool spaces for these peeps to play in and for you guys to jump around and go crazy in. We are also on the search for more venues or spaces to play, so if you or your friends know of any cool, old, unused, or abandoned buildings in industrial areas or on peoples properties, or if you'd be keen to host one on you're own property, it can be indoor or outdoor. So yeah, If you know of anything or anywhere that could be used for such things then please, please, please reach out to us and let us know, cause we would love to hear from you. Words can't do justice to explain how excited we are... Cant wait to see all your smiling faces and rock out with y'all at a gig some where, some time, very soon...
