23.01.2022 The Laundry! Let's be honest it's not anyone's favourite room, but our Mornington project is modern, sophisticated and practical with loads of storage, which makes doing the washing and ironing a little bit better. Smart design and innovative thinking allowed us to over deliver on this project. We know it doesn't look like this 99% of the time, however, our Mornington Laundry / Robe project was super cool. Check out the before and during shots on this one, it's a clever ren...ovation to suit the modern needs of Australian families. By moving the wall in the laundry we created a built in robe in the 4th bedroom. Our clients wanted a modern, functional laundry, with more cupboard space and a large tub. By suggesting to move the wall between the laundry and the 4th bedroom we were able to custom build a new robe, which added so much more storage space in the house, and it also added functionality to that bedroom too. With dark grey floor tiles and charcoal cabinets the laundry looks so sophisticated, and the subway tiles just sets it off above the stone bench tops. It looks amazing! The bedroom robe is a classic gloss white design that can never go wrong. The laundry and the robe both have Blum hardware runners, push to open doors, with finger pull / soft close drawers, and a pull out laundry basket, it will last a lifetime. We hope this laundry saves our clients time and energy to do more fun and exciting things with their family. Thanks again to our trade team for creating yet another amazing space. This one shows initiative, clever design and thinking outside the box to create a modern sophisticated space.

21.01.2022 I love the dark timber vanity, union green subway tiles, terrazo floor and Jazz Arch mirror cabinets - how good do they look... stunning! We have completed our Bonbeach project with two bathroom renovations - this is the ensuite. Make sure you check out the before and after photos, it is beautiful. Our trade team did such an amazing job to get this renovation done. We knew there was evidence of leaking showers, but once we pulled the old floors up we found a large amount of r...otten timber joists that all needed replacing - not such an easy job on a second storey apartment. Special mention to our carpenters who completed the job with impeccable trade skills, adding only minimal time to the project, and at the same time keeping the additional costs down. We replaced all the joists, re- levelled the floors so there was no step at the door, they were out by 14mm, and also altered the joists to allow for strip grate drainage systems in the showers. This job also involved replacing all of the old existing water and waste plumbing, it was terrible! Our clients wanted more space, so we created a much more functional bathroom with a beautiful custom vanity, twin bowls, super cool mirror cabinets, topped off with a big shower, a large niche and a toilet. Once again I'd like to thank all our guys for always being such reliable tradesmen who help me create amazing renovations for our clients week in week out. Thank you to our awesome clients who allowed us to renovate their home, and for being so understanding. It's never easy when you find unforeseen problems like rotten joists under the floor... sometimes I wish I had X-Ray vision to help people. 18.01.2022 Freestanding Baths - Don’t they look luxurious! Gone are the days of the old ugly baths of the old shallow standard shape with dirty old tiles on the face of them! We install stunning freestanding baths all the time - however there’s an underlying secret to choosing the right bath for your bathroom! It’s not all about looks, you need to think of functionality and most of all - cleaning!... Featured above are three gorgeous bathrooms we recently renovated using a relatively new bath from Fienza called the ‘Isabella’. The Isabella is so functional because it pushes hard into a corner, yes either way as shown in the pictures, and it looks amazing when completely sealed around the entire perimeter using a nice colour silicon from Ardex. To explain further, freestanding baths are gorgeous, however, a ‘freestanding bath’ that is not attached to the wall at all can be extremely hard to clean behind. We never recommend installing freestanding baths into a bathroom unless the room is at least 3m x 3m in dimension, and even then it depends on where the door is located in the room. You see, looks are important of course, but functionality rules supreme in the long run, especially for a family that is unless you have a cleaner! ;) Hence the reason we LOVE the new Isabella bath from Fienza. It looks gorgeous, it is so easy to clean, and it is a very smart use of your valuable floor space leaving lots of room for you to maximize functionality even when you’re not having a bath. Beware of the cheaper freestanding baths of this type, they just don’t cut the mustard - they are not made the same, and they do not look anywhere near as good. Baths like the ‘Isabella’ if installed right become a feature in the room and can take your bathroom to that next level - especially when built with a ‘niche’ in the wall as pictured above! If you are local to Melbourne head to Beaumont Tiles Mentone, or Mornington if you are on the Peninsula, they're so friendly & provide unbeatable service!

16.01.2022 Timber vanity or not? ...many of our clients find the decision between a classic white vanity and a timber vanity hard. What's your preference? Installing a white vanity is a safe decision if you are not bold by nature. However, we find that when introducing a timber vanity, it takes the room to another level. The introduction of timber softens the room, it creates elegance and warmth, which is what you want in a bathroom.... Our Frankston South renovation above is a gorgeous example of how introducing timber into a bathroom creates that beautiful warm, elegant feeling. The last thing you want after spending lots of money renovating is a bathroom that looks smart, but feels cold, and most importantly doesn't 'feel' as good as it could. 15.01.2022 Our Mornington Kitchen Renovation is so fresh, crisp and clean! Check out the before shots, it's a massive improvement on the old timber kitchen. Custom cabinetry and stone bench tops, with all the latest mod cons, beautiful electrical appliances throughout, and a large gas cooktop. This kitchen is ultra modern and looks sensational! Our clients wanted to completely upgrade the kitchen, but were happy with the existing layout. We removed the old glass brick wall dividing the... kitchen and dining areas, extended the height of the overhead cupboards to meet the gorgeous raked ceilings, and installed 'push to open - soft close' drawers everywhere. The pantry now has modern 'push to open' bifold doors with a stone top and reconfigured shelving inside. We also reconfigured and renewed all of the plumbing and electrical, installed additional powerpoints and new lighting. The new kitchen is extremely functional and is definitely a super cool heart of their home, we love it! I would like to thank our clients for allowing us to renovate their home, they were amazing to work with. The Kitchen Renovation was one part of a very big project we did for them just before Christmas, and through the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks again to my trade team for working so hard leading up to Christmas, and for creating another amazing space.

02.01.2022 How cool is this Alfresco we built in Mornington... every man's dream! We built a new frame wall to hold the weight of the big Reel Rock Kitchen Expert overhead range hoods, Axon sheeting and subway tiles. The rangehoods look unreal, and it's so functional... zero smoke on those big Aussie BBQ cook up days with family and friends under the pergola. Custom cabinetry with finger pull / soft close drawers, stone bench tops, built in BBQ, massive freestanding oven with gas cookt...op, modern sink and all the latest accessories including a massive chillmax fridge for your beer, wine and spirits. It actually has a built in pull out spirit rack next to the fridge too. This Alfresco is ultra modern, looks sensational and is every man's dream... I am thinking about renovating my backyard after building this one! A big thank you to our clients who wanted a fully functioning modern Alfresco for the entire family to enjoy. We were so happy to complete this job just before Christmas, what a fantastic way to relax and enjoy the good times! Thanks again to my amazing trade team for creating another amazing space, this one's a beauty. Well done guys!
