22.01.2022 SPORTING SCHOOLS PROGRAM In conjunction with the Australian Sports commission, BayView State School is offering extra-curricular school sports through the Sporting Schools program again this term. All activities are focused on active involvement and participation of students in sporting activities. These sessions are designed to be fun and encourage students to exercise and develop skills for a healthy active life. The Sporting School Offering this term is AFL for all year le...vels. Wednesday afternoons from 3pm - 4pm on the Oval from week 4 - 9 starting tomorrow, Wed 5th August with a come try afternoon for Prep -Year 3 & Schools Cup training for years 4-6 students. 21.01.2022 News from the General Meeting held this week we talked strategic planning and where to from here some things to keep an eye out for in the uniform shop ... a request for financial assistance from Mr Robinson for an exciting new project $8k donation to the school to assist in upgrading the audio equipment in the hall the colour run (18th Sept) specifics and volunteers Fathers Day stall (3rd Sept) and helpers required assistance to the student council in an upcoming fundraiser It was a big meeting but we discussed a lot!! 01.01.2022 AFL CANCELLED THIS AFTERNOON! Attention all Sporting Schools AFL Participants. Unfortunately the AFLQ staff member is sick today, resulting in us having to cancel todays session. With limited staff across Brisbane/SC/GC they were unable to find a replacement coach. AFLQ are able to run the session next week, same time on 16th September. Please arrange to collect your BVSS student at 2.40pm today. If you are unable to do this please contact Corporate Services asap.
