23.01.2022 Day 1 of 4 Render on the brick on the back veranda. First time attempt at rendering. 2nd coat will go on to tomorrow. It's looks bloody amazing. 2nd coat of grey and white paint.. this area will be completed tomorrow.. well done us.

20.01.2022 Tiles have arrived.. grey floor tile, white / grey marble hexagon feature wall tile for the shower. White gloss wall tile for the rest.. Now all I need is a young, hot , spunky tiler to come and tile for free..... Ok too much... doesn't need to be young...

19.01.2022 Just found this beauty from when the laundry was first tiled over, check out that gorgeous Lino... that style was all through the house when we moved in in 1995. Gotta love the 80s Lino. The laundry was just a huge empty room, over time, the toilet was installed and a little storage. It is Well and truly due for a makeover ..

18.01.2022 Anzac Day spent with a brush in my hand...this cubby revamp has turned out to be a mind f*#&. With Endless painting, never seem to be getting anywhere with it.. next... rejigging (yes that's a word) the deck at the front, rebuilding the steps and installing a slide . Can't wait to finish it so the children can use it properly. On the up side, water is in the ensuite.. yay it's coming along..

18.01.2022 Unfortunately The back veranda has taken a little longer than expected, (mostly due to adding in the extra garden project ) but the render on the brick is completed and painted, and the decking sanded ready to restain this week.

17.01.2022 Ok, a bit of evening painting in the laundry, the washing machine and laundry tub is out and that wall is ready to frame up and replaster. The blue wall is gone, about time, and the internal wall is ready for the cabinets and benchtop to be installed . It's a busy day tomorrow !

11.01.2022 A simple and quick project this morning. Replacing the old lattice with the new screen panels from Bunnings. The rain halted the rest of the painting , was really easy and the makes a huge difference.. I definitely will be painting this outdoor paved area next weekend..

10.01.2022 One of this weekends projects (an impromptu one at that) was the side courtyard leading to the Granny Flat. I created this side walkway a year ago when the granny flat was revamped for renting. There was a lot of rock to move and stepping stones to put in but I never really got around to planting it out, so A year later , I'm a bit slow I know. The gardens have been completed, Lilly pilly hedge to cover the fence, lemon and lime trees in the planter boxes make it a lot more welcoming and prettttyyyyyy....

09.01.2022 After the past few weekends focused elsewhere, managed to get some Progress on the ensuite today.. * noise insulation installed in all the walls surrounding the shower. *some moving of some timbers to allow the shower niche to go into place. * cornice removed and the old plaster removed where the villa will go ( shower recess) * replaced the old halogen down lights with new led down lights in the bedroom. ... Next week , electrician and sheeting the villa I hope.. See more

09.01.2022 Laundry weekend. Was huge... big progress, and at a guess another 2 weekends to finish it completely. In doing the laundry we have been able to get water up above to the new ensuite.

07.01.2022 4 days of Reno bliss coming up. Theres a list to get done... Projects to complete, new ones to start.. Look what's on the agenda for tomorrow.. Whoop whoop,...

05.01.2022 Gotta luv finding a bargain in Bunnings.. Perfect for the ensuite door. Plan is to have it Frosted and hung on barn door hardware. .

01.01.2022 Yesterday at lunch , I decided to sit down and plan out, cost out and draw up my new laundry.. to do at a later date ..it's currently a bit of a shambles and used everyday, all day. It drives me mad to be honest. I Marked out the cabinets on the wall, decided on floor tiles (same as the ensuite ones) . Next minute.. I'm not sure how... the room was gutted and these new cabinets appeared , literally overnight.. #demofairycametomyhouseinthenight... Guess what I will be doing this weekend??
