25.01.2022 This message below is a copy and paste from a dear friend of mine whom I met after the Big Brother series 2013. She a lovely caring lady who lost her mum during the year. Christmas has a whole new meaning for her <3 <3 Bloody CANCER Well y'all, I'm gonna say bye-bye to some of you.. Now I'm watching the ones who will have the time to read this post until the end. This is a little test, just to see who reads and who shares without reading! If you have read everything, select... "like" so i can put a thank u on ur profile! I know that most of you won't do this, but my friends will be the few that do. Please, in honor of someone who died, or is fighting cancer, or even had cancer, copy and paste. Write "done" in comments when you're finished. I can put a thank u on ur profile! I know that 97% of you won't broadcast this, but my friends will be the 3% that do. 14.01.2022 This is a bit like the Tortoise and the Hare, eventually I get there. Ben did say my Ben's Mum was not my public page and shall make an effort to increase postings here. My Mum is 94 today and together with my sister and her children were are sharing a lunch at the Post Office Hotel at Sandgate - a venue recommended by a friend of my sister. A nice sunny day ahead. A new beginning for both today.... I am here writing with my cat Lucky, a cream Tonkinese with brown markings, who thinks he is a person. Gives so much love and those with animals will understand. This time of year has me in taxation mode but so much is online and different to last year too. For a seventy something fossil like me with a bookkeeping background, one feels a sense of redundancy with all this technology. Click on Australian Taxation and all is there !! Everything is linked these days . . good or bad . . jury is out I feel. After so much rain, yesterday's sunshine was welcome and my flannelette sheets soaked up that sun. My neighbour with a six month old has washing machine issues and I have been washing for her until the machine is fixed. My drier can be a tad temperamental - cuts out when overheated and kicks back in when cooled. Dried the baby clothes and such a nice feeling folding little items. The Grandma/Nanna folk out there relate to that feeling. I shall say welcome to my Public page - established with Ben was in that Big Brother house, which sadly was destroyed by fire recently. It is a delight that you out there continue to support, follow and love my Ben, as well as embracing myself into your hearts. We hope to continue to be uplifting, humourous and real - keeping you up to date with life and as my friend says 'such social butterflies'. Lol lol - have a wonderful day and enjoy this promised 24 degrees
14.01.2022 I tried to post this before going out last night but guess so many posting their greetings around the country. I did have a great evening and stopped dancing when the piano player and drummer played their last number at 1:00am . . . so hot here in Brisbane and we have 35 today . . . "Not long to go now when we say farewell to 2016 - the year meant different things to different people. The highs and lows of life but we face 2017 with optimism . . . I am heading out ...to dinner so will not be here for the stroke of midnight! I always say it was a memorable year and my diary recalls those moments . . for 2017 in May I plan to head to Melbourne for a week - more later, but hope to catch up with some of you while down that way. My nephew lives at Seddon, and I am happy to travel for catchups . .. but before all of that I take this moment to wish you all good health, prosperity, peace, joy and a wonderful year ahead . . Happy New Year <3 "
13.01.2022 Yes, midnight has come and Christmas is with us - Christmas Eve is my favourite part of Christmas - preparations, cooking, wrapping, listening to carols and remembering when the children were young, blowing up the balloons, threading together with cotton to attach to the pillow cases hung as their Xmas stocking. Stitching the last threads to the veil for the bride doll. Sewing the ric rac on the cowboy suit one was making. Having a pedal car put together in secret. Yes I h...ad always been eleventh hour but that was the fun too. My cat Lucky knows something is up - carols not usually on each night on the TV and has had two sessions this week . . my bag is down from the cupboard, now he knows 'she is going away' . . like a clever child ! I hope you have special memories to recall, Christmas is for the little ones, family, food and we each have to find something special within to make meaning for ourselves when it comes to Christmas time. Not easy for everyone and those folk, we need to spare a thought or two for and trust their is a sparkle in their day. Merry Christmas to all - have a wonderful day - stay safe <3 <3
01.01.2022 Our last day of Summer ! I missed most of it! Today I shall be a guest on ABC radio 612 Counsel of Elders with Kat Feeney - an interesting segment at 2:15 - 2:30pm. You are welcome to tune in . . see how the day unfolds :-)
