13.01.2022 BBC participants have been keeping busy at home, creating scripts, collaborating with industry professionals and production planning for post-COVID! Whilst our performers are taking a short rest from ‘Serpent Valley High’ rehearsals, our gang of writers are penning scripts for future seasons. Check out some of what we’ve been working on ‘ ’ by Lorna Mitchell (Dubbo) To fit in or stand out? This cool comedy-drama follows a group of Australian teenage... musos and the challenges they face along the way in an attempt to feel valued. Can a mixed bunch of high school students work together to achieve fame and fortune? Is that even what they’re after? Fear grapples tempo as jealousy threatens harmony holy crescendo! ‘ ’ by Kirra Hampson (Dubbo) - Australia in 2020 is a strange place. A global virus has taken hold and people are ordered to shelter in place until further notice. Unfortunately for the guests of Myreside Bed and Breakfast in regional New South Wales, that means nobody can leave. Andrea Andy Bennet, a semi-neurotic university graduate, bunkers down beside a well-off family and a quirky bartender for the foreseeable future. As the harsh effects of isolation set in, the conflicting bunch are forced to better understand each other and, in doing so, discover more of themselves. ' ' by Anastasia Johnston (Dubbo) - Set in the 1930s, a female detective investigates the bizarre murder of her town’s most affluent lady. As time hurries by, all leads suggest the culprit is one of those closest to her. Revenge, betrayal, sexism, perseverance there’s never only one reason to attend a dinner party.
