25.01.2022 @nick_skama showing the strong correlation between the direction a batters front foot points and the direction their bat faces. Nic has been working hard on getting his front foot pointing straighter down the wicket to enable him to bend his knee in the direction he intends to hit the ball (weight transfer) whilst also aiding him in presenting a fuller bat face. What else can you see Nic doing well in this video ?

25.01.2022 Do you train the easy way or the hard way ? Here is @frasernoack__ getting it done this morning. Getting better is not about practicing a million cover drives . It’s about learning new shots and focusing on the shots you are less consistent at executing successfully . Comment a shot that you consider hard ?

25.01.2022 Do you think about playing a cover drive more than an on drive ? Does your head fall over too often ? Funnily enough these questions are very closely linked ... BALANCE comes from your head and your head can often be a result of where you intended or are subconsciously thinking about hitting the ball . Just before the bowler releases the ball check if your head is vertically aligned with your feet or if your head has already begun to get off side of your feet @frasernoack__

25.01.2022 With a big summer ahead @bbcoaching1 is super excited to get down to business. Get in touch now and take your game to the next level Also huge shout out to our friends at @emmj_images for creating this content . For all your content creation get in touch

25.01.2022 Expecting big things from one of our coaches @macjenko this year !!! This man has been working tirelessly on his game and here is another video to show the sheer class of him

24.01.2022 What angle does your bat face when you defend the ball ? OPEN or CLOSED ? Very few batters have never snicker a ball The question I want you to ask yourself is whether that ball goes to the keeper/1st slip or does it go wider toward 3rd slip/ gully ? ... BATTING TIP : An open bat face will often result in snicking the ball finer as opposed to a closed bat face which will often see a ball that is edged go wider and fail to carry to the cordon . Mistakes are inevitable when batting but sometimes there are ways to prevent them from costing you your wicket . Have your say ?

20.01.2022 @willbrooke05 back into his training after a good 6 month stint down at Glengarry. Safe to say he is hitting the ball nicely

20.01.2022 @empowell2970 working on using her wrists to manipulate the ball onto the leg side . A lot of coaches start their coaching by developing a strong batting foundation, focusing on getting their players to maintain straight lines and a straight bat as much as possible . Once these skills have been developed I like to teach our players how to hit the ball into various parts of the ground and get them thinking about scoring runs as that is essentially what batting is . Using your wrists is a big part of this and it’s been great to see Emily’s improvement when manipulating the ball onto the leg side .

20.01.2022 Scoring runs is not always about hitting the ball hard. Here you can see @empowell2970 combining power in her cut shot as well as manipulating and using the pace of the ball to run it down to 3rd man . How do you determine which ball is cut and which ball is run to 3rd man ?

19.01.2022 Hamo working on using his feet to spinners . Like all shots it is important his head points in the direction he intends to hit the ball . Here you can see the difference in his alignment when his head points toward mid on compared to cover whilst also ensuring his front foot does not land too leg side of the ball.

16.01.2022 The big fella @henrythornton is back home !!! Looking forward to seeing him in full flight with both bat and ball this season @spartansportsau

16.01.2022 You would not have recognised this batter 2 weeks ago !!! It’s a true credit to @nealsey.76 focus and dedication to improving his on drive . If you had seen previous videos we have uploaded of Ed’s on drive it was evident minor adjustments were required to consistently execute his on drive . Here is a video to show how one of the hardest shots in the game (and one he was struggling with) has become one of his most dominate shots #success #hardwork #dedication #2weekturnaround

13.01.2022 Do you trigger ? It’s important that those players who trigger from leg to off understand their movements and ensure they are balanced at point of deliver . What do you notice when this batter triggers? What improvements can you see made ? ... @hirav_gandhi1018

12.01.2022 Great to have @jjames105 come in over the weekend and work on his game . He is pushing extremely hard to put together yet another strong season following his success last year. Side note - That flick shot was OUTRAGEOUS!!! . #RoosterB2B

11.01.2022 Another session with one of our promising young leggies. Here you can see that the spin a bowler can generate is largely influenced by angle of the bowling arm .

08.01.2022 Coaching starts with a solid foundation. Here you can see @nealsey.76 showing a compact and well aligned forward defence .

06.01.2022 Do you practice the things your good at or do you practice the parts of your game that need work ? A common theme in young players is constantly practicing the same shot without trying to expand their game. The nets are about trial and error .... A place where you can’t get out Ask yourself next time your in the nets . How can I get the most out of this session ? What will make me the best cricketer I can be ?

06.01.2022 @empowell2970 showing the short ball who is boss Here you can see how she keeps very still, solely working on pivoting her back foot and keeping her bat path horizontal. How fast do you think these balls were coming out of the machine ?

03.01.2022 Another one of our youngsters working on perfecting his on drive. @jago_schutzy27 is only new to @bbcoaching1 but it’s great to see he is a very driven cricketer who knows what he wants to improve and willing to put in the effort to achieve his goals

02.01.2022 Bracing your Front Leg To land with a braced front leg your front leg must be blocked before you make front foot contact with the ground. This means fully extending your front foot during your delivery stride following/ after your knee has drives up to its highest point . ... Here you can see the improvements @samstevens6268 made with his front leg.
