23.01.2022 ENSUITE LOVE | CONTRAST When picking colour palettes and tiles for rooms like the main bathroom and ensuite, using 2-3 different tones can add interest and depth to a space that may otherwise risk being a bit bland. We love these concrete look tiles from @riverina_terrazzo we used in one of our recent new builds. 03.01.2022 AREN’T ALL HOMES ENERGY EFFICIENT? We’re sad to say that the majority of houses, despite good intention- are NOT sustainable or certified to a minimum star rating. Even the brand newbies. Big power bills from constant reliance on utilities, inefficient use of the elements meaning unused spaces due to weather extremes... Pretty annoying huh? ... If you were anything like us 10 years ago- we assumed energy efficient was just standard practice in today’s building industry. Unfortunately, standard practice and (what you’ll actually find in most 6 star rated homes) and best practice with accurate government certification are 2 VERY different things. At Green Homes, our houses strive to go above and beyond minimum standards, and our NatHERS certifications are the proof in the pudding. We don’t buy those results, we earn them. Want to know more?
