After filling in your paperwork we will have a chat but I really want to get you on the table as that's where all the magic happens in a kinesiology session. ... . These conversations we have with ourselves a million times a day is what creates our reality. .... Do you align with your inner dialog or is it time to change it? . . . 22.01.2022 R U OK? . In a year where so many have faced and still are facing extreamly hard challenges please ask the genuine question of R U Ok? And please listen with open ears, follow through with helping them get support that's needed to get them through... . And if your someone that's being asked the question R U Ok ? Please do not fob it off with a surface response of yeh I'm Ok she'll be right, someone else has it tougher than me... yeh they probably do somewhere but that's not... helping you, don't ignore yourself and your needs. acknowledge and connect to self and where your at... Take a moment to connect to your feelings what's really going on inside for you... I know at times we all try to keep so busy and ignore whats happening deep within, it takes courage and vulnerability to allow yourself to let go of holding on so darn tightly.. Truth is though you can't keep putting the lid on a boiling pot of emotions eventually it overflows. It's better to talk, share with others, connect to self and others. 22.01.2022 Flash back to Singapore days... . I was scrolling through my FB On This Day feed and these popped up from 2008 in my earlier days of teaching pilates. . I was living in Hong Kong when I was introduced to pilates, an ongoing knee injury was getting in the way of my love for long distance running and equipment based pilates was the first thing my knee specialist recommended.. looking back I'm so greatfull for the injury and the approach chosen as I may never have come acros...s pilates otherwise.. . It only took a few sessions & I was hooked this movement method was so effective I could feel the changes in my body and my movement so quickly... . It wasn't long before I signed up for every Polestar Pilates Course available back in 2005 and started studying, living and breathing Pilates... I moved to Singapore where I was lucky enough to have such brilliant educators who allowed me to live in their studio lol kidding, I did go home each day... . Everyones body moves differently and everyones body learns and responds so differently. . I love watching clients as they learn and digest all that we do in the studio together.. Facilitating clients & supporting them into new movements and shapes that their body doesnt get the opport...unity to do in their regular day to day routines brings such energy back into their body. . I love how such subtle cues but help create a whole new movement experience for someone... 10.01.2022 Be kind to yourself and to others. Be compassionate especially to yourself right now. . Less judgement and more love is whats needed. There is no right or wrong with how any of us are responding to this crisis. We''re all in uncharted waters and all doing our best to keep our head a above water. . If youre having a wobble or two today feeling anxious and overwhelmed by the situation your in. Being cooped up inside or trying to wear several different hats all at the same time..... maybe it's that your children are completely dependant on you and your workload has just trippled and you feel like your a pressure cooker about to go off . There are things you can do that are scientifically proven to help calm us one of them is using your breath. . BREATHE it's as simple as it sounds.. when we're in fight or flight mode -.adrenalin and cortisol levels are high, our brain thinks we're being chased by a and kicks into rapid breathing along with other physical changes but breathing is one of the physical responses we have control over. We can calm our nervous system down by controlling our breathing. You are literally telling your body - it's ok you are safe - when doing this and your body will respond by dialling down the cortisol and adrenaline. . - Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. - breathe from your belly not your chest - try 4 counts on the inhale. Hold for 2 counts then 5 counts on the exhale. . There are many different versions you can do. Give it a try for a few minutes and see how you feel. See more

07.01.2022 Pilates at home... . Home can provide many distractions when comparing to the sanctury of your Pilates, yoga studio or even your gym... But it's about the practice and not the space so stick to what ever you and try something new while your at it too... . Just 30 minutes of exercise helps your body in many ways... Keeps you fit strong & mobile Balances your hormones ... Mental health - mood regulator and so much more Boost your immune system Oxygenates your body strengthen your heart Assist to detoxify your body Help lower your blood pressure Keeps your healthy... . In Pilates we focus on moving the body in every plane of movement. This is important as we have a physical body and an energetic body. Our energetic body is made up of meridian lines running all throughout the body, charkral centres and more... When we're not moving the body stretching it strengthening it oxygenating it these energy centres can become stagnant in their energy. . When in optimal health our energy is usually flowing freely through these pathways and centers. When stagnant, it leads to other imbalances within the body's many systems - everythings connected yeh! - . For example the lung meridian runs from the front of our shoulder down to our thumb when there is stagnant energy along the lung meridian often people will be quite restricted with their range of movement through the shoulder girdle. Anatomically the shoulders may be depressed/ compressed and caved in ( hunched forward ) the connective tissues especially the fascia is not it's normal fluid like consistency but sticky like flag glue... restricting movement this may be causing pain through the shoulder or forearms.. . The main emotions connected to the Lung meridian are sadness & grief... And we're all probably feeling a bit of these emotions at different times being in isolation and working with physical distancing.. . So open up these pathways by doing movements such as arm circles over the head, pectoral stretches and chest openings... I will add a video of what these look like for you.... . 06.01.2022 After fully enjoying the over indulgence of chocolate over the Easter break - Im like a child at Easter - Ive gotta say its been tricky to stop... Most likely its a habit influenced by being in isolation and me using food as a vise ... Yes of course.. . But Im having to be really conscious about my food choices this week to get myself out of my slump I feel Im in... . I really notice the effect different food choices have on my body. My mood, motivation, mindset and o...verall mental health suffer if Im not eating well.. . I love lifes indulgences but I value the feeling of wellness too much to sit in that space that feels like well, crap... lethargic unmotivated and just flat when I know my normal is feeling vibrant, motivated and just an overall feeling of happy and contentment. . 02.01.2022 Ive been working with this lovely soul ( yup my beautiful neice ) with some new initiative meditation skills Ive been learning through @centreforintuitivekinesiology . Its amazing how the body is always speaking to us and I should say its always listening... . Listening to the words we speak or dont speak, the emotions that rise from within us but we sometimes push back down and the stories we run through our minds on repeat even when we know they dont serve us but... hey they certainly keep that monkey mind entertained... . Any hoo when we give our body the opportunity, which is what were enabling in our intuitive meditation the monkey mind is at rest and were able to tune in to our own body as it speaks to us. Human and animals lives are at risk-- with both human and many animal fatalities already. They need a miracle to bring on the rain. ... The power of people praying together is very powerful. You are invited to partake in a 3 minute prayer/intention where we collectively see/feel/hear: A massive gathering of monsoon rain, falling on the affected areas (see map below), lasting for days. Gentle consistant rain, soaking into the land, all fires are put out. See/feel/hear the people celebrating, full of joy and gratitude. All animals too are grateful ! See/feel/hear this in 3D, colour, present time, NOW. Collectively praying!/ intending together at the same time, has a much more powerful effect than when we pray individually. 01.01.2022 I've been working with this lovely soul ( yup my beautiful neice ) with some new initiative meditation skills I've been learning through @centreforintuitivekinesiology . It's amazing how the body is always speaking to us and I should say it's always listening... . Listening to the words we speak or don't speak, the emotions that rise from within us but we sometimes push back down and the stories we run through our minds on repeat even when we know they don't serve us but... hey they certainly keep that monkey mind entertained... . Any hoo when we give our body the opportunity, which is what we're enabling in our intuitive meditation the monkey mind is at rest and we're able to tune in to our own body as it speaks to us.
