20.01.2022 RACK N ROLL Last week's four day and 2,000 kay Motorcyclebiz Gold Card customer ride to the Snowy certainly gave the new Rally Raid Products soft luggage racks ...a solid work-out. And they came through with flying colours. My Giant Loop Mojavi bag fitted perfectly to the racks, keeping the weight of my tools, tubes and spares down low and tight in against the bike. The racks accept all popular brands of soft luggage bags, and can take Rotopax cells as well, so they offer options galore. Then I filled an @enduristan Tornado 2S dry bag with my clothes and strapped it to the B&B Off Road Engineering compact rear rack. And when I wanted to get the weight of my CamelBak Mule off my back, I could tether that on the rear seat against the dry bag. Everything stayed tight in place and it was all quick and easy to unload at the low bag motel at each overnight stop. Done. When I got home, Rally Raid's muffler support bracket that works with the racks had arrived. It's an easy bolt-on and provides support to the OEM muffler mount when you tip over on the right side, by 'sharing' the impact through the rack and its four fixing points to the bike. Glad to have the support on now, but not rushing out to test it with a high-speed get-off! The boys at @infront_windows_ballarat gave us the opportunity to get these big window shrouds done.
