16.01.2022 For all those mummas out there wondering if it’s safe to colour your hair during pregnancy, @pregnancywellbeing has answered that question for you! Although research into this area is fairly limited, dyeing your hair during your pregnancy is considered to be safe. The chemicals in both permanent and semi-permanent hair dye are not readily absorbed through the scalp and therefore not likely to harm your baby. If this is something that does concern you, then it might be ...advisable to wait until the end of your first trimester so that your baby is not potentially exposed to any chemicals while the vital organs are forming. You could talk to your hairdresser about using a vegetable dye. What about if you are a hairdresser ? There is no evidence to suggest that hair dye will harm your growing baby. If you are concerned then wear gloves and keep the salon well ventilated.
