18.01.2022 B&B Pet Care was named after my 2 dogs Basil and Bailey. Unfortunately we lost Bailey in May this year due to illness, we were lucky enough to know Sandra that created an amazing portrait of Bailey for us. If you are looking for a personalised touch to remember a fallen pet, a great gift or to have another image of your pet send Sandra a message or give her a call :-)

17.01.2022 Just a reminder that as we start getting warmer days to ensure the following for your pets. If left outside during the day ensure there is sufficient shade and plenty of water. Shell pools are great for backyards but ensure they are in a shaded area as the water will get hot in direct sunlight. Cooling mats these start at $12 from Kmart (these are not recommended for chewers as the gel content may be harmful to pets if ingested) Cooling coats, if you are home during the day... to keep wetting them this is a great way to cool your pets down. For those with white animals or animals that love to sunbake please use animal appropriate sunscreen. Animals are at risk of skin cancer just as much as humans. Exercising your animals, please do not exercise your animals during the hotest part of the day. This is usually between 10am and 3pm. Before taking your animal on any surface place the back of your hand on the surface, if it is too hot for you to touch, it is too hot to walk your animals on, this goes for sand as well. Brush up on what to do incase of dehydration or heat stroke. You can get electrolytes for your dogs that are added into their drinking water, similar to gatorade, to help with the hotter days. You can use enrichment items like frozen bones, kongs and treats. It's like an icey pole for your dog :-) If you have any further questions on how to keep your animal cool this summer talk to your trainer or vet. See more

10.01.2022 There has been some exciting things happening here over the last month. We have relocated to sunny Queensland and have finally settled in and ready to start up again in the Greater Ipswich and Western Brisbane region. We have also introduced a new member to our family, meet Blaze. He is a 15 month old Border Collie and is goofy and full of beans. Basil is happy to have a playmate again. It was a pleasure to work with everyone on the Central Coast but it's on to another adventure for B&B Pet Care.
