22.01.2022 We have been a bit slack with bike of the week this last few weeks as we have been really busy. Here we have a 91 RM 125 Slingshot. It had been in storage for the last 6 or so years. The old fuel in the carby had calcified in the bowl and had to be chipped out, the fork and shock seals had to be replaced and the grips were breaking apart. After we fixed these issues she started up second kick. There is nothing like the sound of an old school two stroke!

22.01.2022 Last few months have been very busy here. So busy that we have been incredibly slack with our Facebook page. This weeks bike of the week is a Suzuki Hayabusa. This rocket came in with a fuel system that was horribly blocked up. We pulled it down and cleaned all the injectors and replaced the fuel pump. We also changed the tyres. Now she is back on the road rocketing around.

21.01.2022 This weeks bike of the week is a Buell XB12S. It has a monsterous 1200cc V-twin engine that has enough torque to pull a freight train. It came in needing fork seals and a service. It's now ready to get back on the road. If you need any work done on your bike don't hesitate to call 0408158527 or contact us on Facebook.

20.01.2022 BBR Motorcycles and Accessories is proud to introduce our newest mechanic Ted Johnson who joined our team on June 20.

18.01.2022 Tip of the week for this week is basic fork seal maintenance. If you have weeping fork seals you may be able to save them by dropping down the dust seal and sliding a feeler gauge between the fork leg and the oil seal. Hold it at a 45 degree angle so any dirt will be pulled out. Then pop the dust seal back in place. This tip will only work if the seal is not badly damaged. Be careful not to cut the seal with the feeler gauge.

18.01.2022 This WR426 came to us after been stored for a number of years. The fuel in the carbie had turned into a paste and had blocked up all the internal passages and the fork seals were blown. Finally, the grips were disintegrating and the tyres were dry and hard. To turn this back to a beauty we stripped the carbie, soaked it for 48 hours to remove the gunk and then replaced all rubber and jets. Then added new grips, a tyre and replaced the fork seals. Now the bike is running great and back to its owner. If you require any work done to your bike or want to bring a bike back to life, don't hesitate to contact us here at BBR.

15.01.2022 This weeks bike of the week is a mint CR 125. While this bike was already in great condition the top end got a preventative rebuild and leaking fork seals were replaced. The pipe had a few dings and we blew them out and repainted it to the stock black. Here at BBR we love restorations. If you have a bike you need restored contact us via Facebook or call Bodie on 0408158527.

15.01.2022 Here we have a KTM 690 SM, while riding in the high country the owner heard a tick and then a crunch followed by a puddle of oil underneath. The cam chain had snapped and destroyed the automatic decompression and smashed through the top of the rocker cover. The motor needed to be completely stripped to clean out all the metal particles from the engine cases. We were able to repair the automatic decomp and rebuild the motor. Now this bike is back with its owner riding down the Great Ocean Road. If you require any work on your bike or if your cam chain is also out the top of your motor, bring it to us at BBR and we will get back out riding again. Contact Bodie on 0408158527 or send us a message. Thanks BBR.

01.01.2022 This weeks bike of the week is a KTM 250SX. It came to us fouling plugs every few hours. The jetting and mix ratio were good so signs pointed to the crank case seals. Both seals were leaking. The extra oil coming into the crank case from the gearbox was the cause of the fouled plugs. If your having trouble fouling plugs give us a call and we will help you out!
