23.01.2022 What a great story, so proud of these Cub Scouts and their Leaders and Adult Supporters

18.01.2022 WELL DONE SKILLORAMA! Yesterday, 1st September, I had the honour of representing the Chief Commissioner at Redcliffe District’s (Northern Moreton Bay Region) an...nual Skillorama Activity Day at Redcliffe Showgrounds; this year's theme was Wheels in Motion. (btw Chief, I would have been there anyway as it is a great day for Cub Scouts ). Skillorama is an Activity Day for Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts and Guides where the Activity Bases (16 this year) are planned and run by the various Scout Groups (a lot of Scouts and Venture Scouts working hard) of the Region with some by Air Activities and Environment. 2018 Skillorama saw 830 Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts attend along with 100 plus ‘bring a friends’; 76 groups were represented, with some Joeys Scouts and Cub Scouts coming from as far away as the Darling Downs and Wide Bay and Burnett Regions. This was supported by 240 Leaders and 140 Youth Member ‘Helpers’ (Scouts, Venture Scouts and Rovers). There is ‘incentive judging’, with respect to the Activity Base that produced/displayed the ‘Best Effort’ on the day; congratulation to Burpengary Scout Group for the Best Effort and Clontarf Scout Group as the Runner-up. However, everyone was a ‘winner’ with great activities, great weather and a lot of Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts who had a great day out with plenty of challenges and fellowship. All Districts, Groups, Leaders, older Youth Members, and Adult Supporters, who organised and supported the Event, congratulation on a Job Well Done. See more

10.01.2022 Hi All, The below post is from a Victorian Cub Scout Leader; it is quite long but well worth the read all the way to the end. It is definitely 'food' for refle...ction and thought-provoking, particularly with respect to Scouting, its benefits and why we are Leaders etc. All of it may not 'ring true' for you personally, but it is still a worthy reflection. 09.01.2022 There is something in this for all of us, including the Youth Members that we support.

06.01.2022 Our Cubs have been learning all about safety this term. Safety at home, in the bush, around water, with fire, on the road and personal safety. We found an awes...ome app that is a great tool for teaching kids aged 5+ how, why and when to call 000. I highly recommend you download it and let your kids have a play. http://kids.triplezero.gov.au/ See more
