25.01.2022 Four removal boxes full of champagne corks and before you ask..... I’m not responsible for the consumption required to achieve this collection. One of the many joys of sorting through my new storage area. Oh the things you find. Madly trying to finish the current commission I’m working on so I can get creative with cork.
25.01.2022 I absolutely love a good news story. Even better when it involves an artist and their inspirational pursuit. https://edition.cnn.com//worlds-largest-paintin/index.html
19.01.2022 Looking very much like a bookmark in these photos. Can you find mine?
17.01.2022 A silver lining to Covid19. My entry for Paper On Skin 2020 tilted ‘New Life’ has been captured on film for all to see. Would have loved to have seen all the artworks up close in Tasmania but this maybe even better. Thank you so much to the organisers for persisting with this event when life as we knew it seemed to be going into hibernation. My first major award for recycled wearable art. Very proud.
13.01.2022 My once wearable tea pot has finally found her silver lining. Finding her true self - a couture gown ready for the ball. But the transformation is not complete, there is yet another chapter to come. Thank you Jess for giving new energy & life to this ever changing lady of tea. ... Her name - ‘TeaTopia’
10.01.2022 Blown away to be one of 10 finalists for the ‘people’s choice’ award. I’d absolutely love to see my design on a bookmark this year. Follow the link below to vote for your favourite. https://library.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au//Sho/Denise-Lamby
09.01.2022 ‘Masking Shortages’ - the mask was purchased during the exhibition in Brisbane. It wasn’t until later I discovered the lucky purchaser was the Qld State Library.
08.01.2022 A gift to say ‘thank you’ to Dr Kellie Walker of the Tasmanian Hearing and Implant Centre for her support of the arts and sponsorship of my award for 2020 @paperonskin Always nice to see one of my babies arrive in perfect condition. It was a long journey from Qld to Tasy. Their logo fashioned from recycled tea bag and tea leaves. #gratitude #giftgiving #thankyou ... #recycledart #newlife #upcycled #corporategifts #environmentallyconscious #tasmanianhearingandimplantcentre #teaart #teaartist #teabagart #sunshinecoastartist See more
08.01.2022 Absolutely love this concept. Time consuming but so effective. This artwork perfectly illustrates the roll of artists in showing us our world from different perspectives. The presentation & colour scale is next level. @Ruth Woodrow

06.01.2022 The BciART studio in Mooloolaba is officially Covid safe and once again ready for small group, bespoke workshops. Today we launched ‘Mind your own bees wax’. This craft offering is a stepping stone to art, non threatening and once you experience my studio space you will be back for more. I enjoy teaching and sharing so expect to learn all the tricks of the trade and you’ll never go home empty handed. Lessons are broken down to the absolute basics, environmentally friendly & ...accessible to all. Will post next workshop date as an event soon or message me to organise your own group booking.
06.01.2022 And then to trace your tea bag splat. Please subscribe to my you tube channel for drawing tutorials and creative ideas (not sure how that going to play out yet - working on it) come along for the ride.

05.01.2022 Absolutely mesmerising.
04.01.2022 My first art based youtube video - how to do tea bag splats. Not overly exciting to watch but give it a go after your next cup of tea - its worth a giggle.
03.01.2022 I’ve set myself a drawing warm up challenge for the month of August. Grab some graph paper and see if you can do a pattern a day as well. For those on Instagram I’ll be posting each morning to my @bcicreativeart page. This video was interrupted by an incoming call - lesson learnt - I’ll hopefully remember to put the phone on airplane mode . Don’t interrupt the artist
03.01.2022 Bringing the pages of books to life for book week 2020. Edward Scooperhands - the ice cream serving robot from the Storey Tree House series. (He 1st appeared in 26-storey tree house). 03.01.2022 Work in progress. Not quite ‘blue poles’ but looking relatively balanced. Backing board ready for the next stage or maybe a few more layers of colour first. Thanks to me adorable neighbour for helping my raid her bin for recycled magazines. The things we do for art #recycledart #sunshinecoastartist #savedfromlandfill @bcirecycledart
02.01.2022 Now I know mining is a contentious issue but somethings you have to applaud or at least acknowledge, baby steps in the right direction.
02.01.2022 Fabulous collaboration. Smiling faces & so many stories brought home. I’m told students, teachers & even the school dog were involved. Well done Mooloolaba SS and thank you Gregg Dreise I love how the hands form a subtle textured background.
