22.01.2022 Let’s get sugar savvy 1. Added sugars are those sugars that are removed from their original source and added to foods as a sweetener or as a preservative 2. Naturally occurring sugars are natural sugars present in fruits, vegetables (fructose) and dairy products (lactose) 3. Children aged 0-2 years old should have ZERO added sugars 4. Children aged 6-12 years old should have no more than 6 teaspoons a day of added sugar ... 5. Here is Dr Peter Readman giving us an update on the current dental restrictions relating to COVID-19 and what implications this may have for your childs dental care.

For eligibility details and more information visit health.gov.au/cdbs Our two practices provide dental treatment through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, for those who are eligible.

Brush with a toothbrush with soft bristles and brush gently.... Replace your toothbrush after 3 months, or after youve been unwell. A parent should be assisting with brushing for their child until ages 8-9. See more
17.01.2022 Please come and speak to us about tooth whitening before ordering do-it-yourself kits at home or using whitening toothpaste! We can determine if whitening is appropriate and look at other options if needed. Depending on the cause of tooth discolouration it might not be the best solution and can sometimes make things worse!

Federal and State governments will be reviewing changes to elective surgery restrictions tomorrow (this may apply to your childs dental treatment under general anesthesia at a day surgery facility)...
