25.01.2022 COVID-19 is making some Australians feel anxious and worried. Several organisations are available 24/7 that can provide mental health support.

22.01.2022 BE HERE NOW PSYCHOLOGY CLIENTS COVID-19 UPDATE: As per Queensland Health's guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 we encourage all of our clients to adhere to the practices in the diagram below. Additionally, we request that if you have an appointment at Be Here Now Psychology, and you or your child are feeling unwell with cold or flu-like symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat, aches and pains, runny nose) that you contact us and reschedule your appointment to a later dat...e. Please do not attend your appointment, however please let us know as soon as possible if you think you are unable to attend. If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or you are in mandatory isolation or quarantine, you may still be able to continue with your therapy session through Telehealth. The government has announced new measures during this time to allow for people to still access psychology services via Skype/Facetime or phone if you are unable to come in for your appointment due to mandatory isolation or quarantine. Please discuss this with us if you think you may be eligible for this service. In the case that your psychologist is required to go into isolation, you may still be able to access therapy through Skype/Facetime or phone if you wish to do so, and of course, if your psychologist is well enough to provide the service. We kindly ask that you wash or sanitise your hands before entering the therapy room. We will be doing our best also to ensure that appropriate infection control procedures are implemented to minimise the spread of COVID-19 at the practice (Regular disinfecting of surfaces and door handles). Unfortunately, this may involve clients having to endure the smell of Glen-20 instead of the usual scent of Glasshouse candles. Our apologies to those who usually enjoy the aromatherapy. Most importantly, let's try our best to manage our anxiety about COVID-19 through objective, rational thinking even though it may be an anxiety-provoking situation for many of us. Wishing you all good health!
20.01.2022 This is a quote from someone who suffers from an anxiety disorder. An important reminder for us to abstain from judgement and be kind to others because we never truly know someone's internal reality.
20.01.2022 Attention Clients of Be Here Now Psychology: In light of the 3 new cases of COVID-19 announced today on the southside of Brisbane, could you please contact us to reschedule your appointment if you have been to any of the locations listed in Qld Health’s post attached below. Please also contact us to reschedule your appointment to a later date if you have recently travelled interstate. ... These precautions are being taken to prevent further community transmission of COVID-19 and to ultimately ensure everyone’s health and safety. As per the usual protocol, if you are experiencing any cold and flu symptoms, please contact us to reschedule your appointment to a later date. Hoping you all stay safe and well
19.01.2022 Emotions mean... you are normal. Dont let anyone belittle how you feel. Dont let anyone tell you that you shouldnt feel a certain way. ... And dont listen to those that tell you that you are too sensitive or that you should get over it. Human beings have emotions, period. If you are feeling, you are alive!

03.01.2022 The phrase "its all in your head" isnt just unhelpful, its also not accurate. Mental health problems can also come with a range of physical symptoms. Thanks to Mellow Doodles for helping us to show a different side of mental health problems.
