25.01.2022 Foster care required for gorgeous girl Nebbi. Unfortunately Nebbi’s owner has just been diagnosed with a serious medical condition and he can no longer care for her. She is a 2 year old Labrador x. Good with other dogs. Great with children. Currently living on a farm with other animals but needs very secure fencing as she can escape farm fencing. Great on a leash and in the car a very well behaved young dog. Please contact us if you can offer this lovely girl a foster home . Southern area preferred. We provide everything you will need .

23.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH BE THE CHANGE ANIMAL SHELTER INC - introducing Cheech he is a 3 year old male border collie x and is on the smaller side . This boy has huge potential with the right owner but still currently has some puppy habits that need retraining which are mouthing (not biting) and jumping up at people. He also struggles with having his nail trimmed but with more exposure would soon learn. He is a very food motivated responsive young dog who looks to his ...handler for direction and confidence this boy is a quick learner and very intelligent . He is a working breed so will require daily exercise and mental stimulation he absolutely loves to play ball. Cheech is afraid of loud noises such as the vacuum cleaner and loud machines and will remove himself from these situations. He also gets anxious when children and other animals run up to approach him. He is not suitable to a home with other pets as he is dog reactive we are sure that with consistency this is something he will overcome. Because he is quite mouthy at this stage we wouldnt rehome him go household with young children under 12. He walks well on a leash and travels well in the car. His adoption fee is $350 he is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. See more

22.01.2022 Foster Carer Needed or Foster with option to Adopt ! We have just taken beautiful Georgia into our care after she unfortunately became a bit to much for her elderly owner. She is a 2 year old kelpie x and is a very smart and sweet girl. She does take a little while to warm up to new situations. She is excitable on the lead which will improve greatly with some consistent training, she travels well in the car and loves to play with her toys. Georgia is great with cats and children She is ok with other dogs out in public but cannot live or go into foster with another dog as she has a tendency to guard her possessions and will react to any dog that comes near them. We provide all food, bedding, toys etc we are just looking for a loving home to take care of Georgia until we can find her forever home southern area preferred

21.01.2022 Foster carer required for Baloo a 2 year old Husky X male. He is being surrendered as the result of a family breakdown. he has lived with two children but is a very boisterous young dog so would be best suited to older children who he cannot accidentally bowl over. He loves anyone that gives him attention he can get excited with adults and jump up also but does settle and is very responsive to treats and praise he will lay and roll over at the screen door just to get a pat. H...e has not been exposed to other dogs so we are looking for a foster home without other pets until we get to know him better. he has lived with caged birds and has left them alone. he is a very strong dog so will need someone physically capable of walking him, he initially pulls but does settle into it. he has had no training and has been an outside dog so will someone to help learn the basics such as sit, stay etc. he isn't a very vocal dog but if bored can dig and chew (we will provide plenty of brain busters and chews for him). He is a sweet young dog who just needs someone to show him the world around him, we provide everything you need including beds, food, bowls, treats, toys the works you just provide the loving temporary home until we find his forever family See more

21.01.2022 Honey and demon will be coming into our care soon. Both are artic breeds that are a bonded pair and will be rehomed together as the only dogs and pets. They will not be rehomed with cats nor any pocket pets. Both are being surrendered for personal reasons not through any fault of their own. At this point in time we are gathering further information however if you would like to show any interest at this stage please pm the page. Both are approximately five years of age

19.01.2022 Due to no fault of his own Kodak's trial was unsuccessful and therefore he continues to be available for adoption. Kodak is a 2 year old desexed American bulldog cross. He is a BIG strong boy. He was surrendered due to emerging issues with his fur brother, namely over food (specifically bones). He has been part of a family and taken on regular outings. One member of the family was home all day therefore Kodak is familiar with someone being home and he also had his fur broth...er for company. He is good with other dogs (apart from the food resource issues with the other male dog he lived with), he can also be frightened of smaller breed dogs and will run away from them. He is not good with cats or pocket pets. He has been an outside dog so isn’t familiar with an indoor environment. Although his foster family have been working hard on this and he is now toilet trained and a couch potato and loves being indoors with you. Kodak is good with kids but due to his sheer size and strength we wouldn’t recommend children under 12 years old as he thinks he is a lap dog. He will need a physically capable handler due to his strength and size. Breed specific experience is preferred. He is only a young dog and will come along in leaps and bounds with some training. Being a young dog he is also very cheeky and will get into things he shouldn’t when left unattended. He is such a sweet goofball you are guaranteed to fall in love. Adoption fee is $400. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite protected. Please note that we will not rehome this boy into rental accommodation as let's face it rentals are hard enough to secure with dogs let alone such a big one like Kodak. 17.01.2022 This poor fella is called tzar he is 11 years old and his owner threatened to seriously harm him. Thankfully he was removed and is now safe with us. He has a special leopard print mink blanket that he climbs inside of and hides in as it is his safety.

17.01.2022 Tia is now on trial and she is doing, so, so well :) She has been a real little star and her trial family are amazing! We have been receiving regular up-dates and so far so good :) Tia you know a great home when you have the possibility to have one!

16.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH BE THE CHANGE ANIMAL SHELTER INC - Honey and Des are 5 year old Siberian husky female and male, they are a bit like chalk and cheese in their own personalities. Both of these beautiful dogs were surrendered Through no fault of their own and with very limited information. Honey is on the smaller side she is a very affectionate girl. A bit about her - she is a digger so will need a secure property she will always need to be fed separately to Des a...s she will fight with him otherwise. She is gentle taking treats from people though. She loves to roll over for tummy rubs but is head shy and will flinch when you go to pat her. Both dogs have had incredibly limited exposure to the world around them. As for Des he loves kids (honey does to) but we are looking for a home with children older than 8 for this pair as they will knock small kids over. Des can be stubborn so will need a confident strong handler as he responds brilliantly to someone he can take the lead from. Someone with breed experience is preferred for this pair. They cannot be rehomed into a rental property or a home with cats or pocket pets. They need firm but gentle training to teach them the ways of the world they are a highly intelligent (also very stubborn) working breed who are not for the novice dog owner. 16.01.2022 We are in the process of the possibility of a trial for Teddy :) It's been a long process regarding matching Teddy's needs with a possible home but we think we might be nearly there :) Fingers crossed for Teddy :)

As well as our fabulous ‘new with tags’ clothing, lingerie and earrings, we will be selling some amazing vintage designer pieces (Armani sun hat anyone?). 13.01.2022 Introducing Teoph, who is available for adoption through Be The Change Animal Shelter Inc. Teoph is a brown point ragdoll x who is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated. Teoph is a male and a big male at that. Teoph weighs approx. 6.5kgs and is approx. 6 years of age. Teoph is an inside cat who loves your attention and affection. He is a fairly easy going boy who likes his solitude as well as your companionship. Teoph will be fine with other cats as well as dogs. He is a beautiful, loving boy :)

12.01.2022 The 2021 Easter Raffle is to raise much needed funds for Be The Change Animal Shelter. Every cent raised goes to rehabilitating and re homing rescued, surrendered and abandoned animals. 11.01.2022 Please read very carefully as we will only respond if you can meet their needs .... We have 2 Bull Mastiff puppies coming into care who are 9 weeks old. They have had no vet work and only today will begin their vaccination regime. As we are aware of Parvo currently circulating within our canine community, we require a home or home/s that have no other dogs. We need to keep the pups isolated from the broader canine community until we can get their vaccination regime up to dat...e. They are completely independent therefor able to be fostered separately if you are unable to care for 2. The Southern suburbs of Adelaide is a must and we can provide for everything that they will require. Just please be aware that they are pups and yes pups chew! Pups also make toilet mistakes inside the house and can be messy little fur friends. So, if any of that bothers you then please do not consider. At this point in time we can not say for sure how long they would need fostering for so you would need to be open to fostering for as long as is needed. It would also help if you are home more than your work as pups can be mischiefs when left alone for too long! NON-NEGOTIABLE is no other dogs. Thank you See more

11.01.2022 This is long Boy we collected him last night when we went to pick up a mum and 5 kittens I’m so thankful he was sitting at the back door and we spotted him.He is the most severely malnourished cat I have ever seen that’s still alive he went off to the vet today and is now on a special diet to try and build him back up it’s going to be a long road for him fingers crossed at this stage . I’ll get some better photos of him this evening

09.01.2022 Introducing bonded pair Nora and Rocko, available for adoption through Be The Change Animal Shelter. Both Nora and Rocko have been surrendered through no fault of their own. Nora is an almost 6 year old desexed female staffy cross who was originally adopted through AWL. Nora is an indoor and outdoor dog and is great mates with Rocko. Other than Rocko Nora doesn't get along well with other dogs. Nora loves her humans and is good with children however can jump when excited. Nor...a is fine with caged birds but not pocket pets of any description. Nora currently lives with a cat but should a cat run from her she will give chase. Shouting makes Nora very scared and nervous that she is in trouble and if she hears shouting she will look to see if it's her fault. Nora will bark if a bird flies near her or if someone walks past the fence however other than that she has no barking issues. Nora has a small growth on one eye that has been seen by a vet and is no issue at present, only if it gets larger or starts to irritate her. Rocko is a 6 year old desexed male staffy cross who was also originally adopted and he is also an indoor/ outdoor dog. Rocko is scared of thunder and will cry and scratch at the door to come inside. Rocko is good with children, however like Nora can jump in excitement. Rocko will bark when people walk past the fence or when a bird flies near however other than that barking is not an issue. Rocko will also chase a cat should it run from him. Both Rocko and Nara have specific needs and have not had an easy time however they love each other and love human attention and affection. They love to play together. We are looking for an environment that will support each of their needs, keep them together and allow them to become part of life and be much loved. See more
