This wee...k I’d like to encourage all men to take charge of your health. Go get that medical check-up if you’ve been putting it off. 13.01.2022 Centrelink Payment Rates have not changed - but the Income and Asset Test thresholds have increased effective today. If you are on a Full Pension, you will not notice any change to your payments. However, if you are on a Part-Pension you will start to see a slight increase to your payments over the coming fortnights.

13.01.2022 If you are ineligible to a Centrelink Age Pension because your Income or Assets are too high, you may be eligible to a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card. This card offers discounts and concessions on a range of things, from pharmaceuticals to utilities, to cost of living expenses such as car registration. Eligibility to this card includes being of Age Pension age and having income below the relevant limits; $55,808 pa for Singles, $89,290 pa for Couples. Further details included in this video.

The card provides a range of discounts and concessions for Doctor appointment and medications and may even provide access to discounted utilities, registration or Council Rates depending upon the State and Local Government Area in which you live. 05.01.2022 You do not have to retire to claim the Age Pension - and many people are surprised at how much they can earn & still receive a part Pension (plus the all-important Pensioner Concession Card!) Many people who reach Age Pension age do not enquire about Age Pension eligibility due to the common misconception that you must retire to receive it. Although your Income and Assets must be below certain levels to be eligible to the Pension, Retirement is not a condition of eligibility.... With schemes such as the Work Bonus, many people are also surprised at how much they can earn from employment, and still retain eligibility to a part-Pension. The current Income Test cut-off point is $2,062.60 per fortnight for Singles, and $3,155.20 per fortnight combined for couples.
