25.01.2022 Bundaberg is known for our sugar cane and if you have been lucky you may get to see a sugar cane fire , they move so fast. Here is a fire that happened locally today Why do they still burn cane? it isn’t as common as it use to be , with some farmers choosing to cut can green, but why they still do is burning greatly reduced the volume of leaf matter, making it easier to cut and load the cane. And some parts use the cane ash to add to the soil.
