25.01.2022 Top Teams Challenge - $5,500 total prize pool to chosen charities Fantastic to have some new Teams challenging for the big prizes in this years Top Teams Challenge along with so many of our regulars from recent years. An incredible effort from the One Eighty/The Newport Team to take out 1st place in its first year and special mention to another newcomer in the Manly Warringah District Cricket Club! 1st ($2,000) - One Eighty Inc. (and The Newport) with 99 entrants, the A...valon-based charity raising funds for a future free of youth suicide 2nd ($1,500) - Sanfilippo Children's Foundation (SFSuper Series) with 94 entrants, the Freshwater-based charity raising funds to research a cure for a rare genetic condition that causes fatal brain damage. 3rd ($1,000) - Manly Warringah District Cricket Club with 85 entrants, who also finished as Top Team Fundraiser, supporting Avalon Youth Hub 4th ($600) - Vision Personal Training with 79 entrants 5th ($400) - Happy Days with 65 in support of the Happy Days Village School in Cambodia #oneeighty_inc, #thenewportsyd, #manlycricket, #sfcfoundtn, #visionfrenchsforest, #vision_balgowlah, #visionpt_monavale, #visionptbrookvale_, #happydayscambodia

21.01.2022 Weird & Wackiest Dressed This years winner of our Weird & Wackiest Dressed prize goes to Elke Klein of the Sanfilippo Children's Foundation Team. For her second year running the event, Elke designed and created her own costume, which had a Space Alien meets Wonder Woman kinda vibe to it. (If youre looking to nab this prize next year, you know who to call for tips!) Elke wins a $500 Be a Well Being Hamper from our good friends at Blackmores. Congrats!

20.01.2022 Age no barrier to Pub2Pub marvels While so many young participants featured among the prize-winners at this years Pub2Pub, there were some super athletes at the other end of the spectrum too. Runners like 92 year old Ted Cavanagh who completed the 13km event with his 23 year old granddaughter Olivia! 18.01.2022 -Event Update- 2020 has been a roll coaster year for the Beach2Beach. A new name, new sponsors on board, a race day postponement, and now unfortunately due to the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) the 2020 event has been cancelled. But all is not lost! While the actual run will not take place this year, there is still opportunity for you to play an important part.... As you may know, the aim of the Beach2Beach is to bring our community together and raise funds for those less fortunate on the Northern Beaches - your registration fees go to local charities. So, if you were looking forward to the event and had planned to register, please make a donation to one of these awesome charities doing great things in our community. Every little bit helps! Lets stand strong together and help our neighbours doing it tough during these challenging times. We were very much looking forward to hosting the 28th year of this spectacular run and festival, but our top priority is the health and safety of the community. 18.01.2022 Highest Individual Fundraiser and Top Team Leader A brilliant job by Johann Jacobs who raised an incredible $7,800 for Bear Cottage to be our Highest Individual Fundraiser for 2019. And congratulations to our Top Team Leader, Melanie Bradstreet (of the mighty Stella Maris College, Manly Team)! 18.01.2022 NEW PUB2PUB PARA CATEGORY off to great start. In the first year of our new Para Category we were thrilled to have some 40 participants enjoy a great day out last Sunday. Organisations like Sunnyfield Disability Services and Achilles Sydney (vision impaired runners) took part, along with individuals like multiple amputee Buddy Miller who ran with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Team. (Can you spot Cliffy Lyons in the photo?) A huge congratulations to all Para participants and thank you for your inspirational presence.

14.01.2022 URM Schools Charity Challenge $3,500 prize pool to schools Stella Maris College, Manly once more retained its title, winning the United Resource Management Schools Charity Challenge for the 4th year running with what was also the largest overall team of 150. Each year the College competes in the Pub2Pub as part of their Duke of Edinburgh program and raises funds for Mike Pawley's Happy Days Village School in Cambodia. 2nd place ($1,000) this year went to newcomer Avalon Public School with 50 participants entered and 3rd place ($500) was taken out by Northern Beaches Christian School (NBCS) with a team of 34. Congrats!
