20.01.2022 Our thoughts are powerful. They can sweep you off your feet and drag you back into the past to review all your mistakes, all your failures and go on an endless mind loop of negativity. They can also seduce you into the future to ponder on the outcome of something in 99 different ways.... What thoughts don't do, is allow you to be completely anchored in the present right now. A space where you are safe, comfortable, expansive, secure and your needs are met. When you notice you have disappeared down the rabbit hole, simply notice, smile that you are aware and gently guide your attention back to your breath. This can be the constant sound of your wondrous breath or the movement of your chest or your belly, breathing the breath. Many people think you have to stop your mind thinking, but that is neither possible or advisable. Instead train your muscle of awareness and each time you notice you are not being mindful or present gently come back to your breath to anchor you each and every time, gently, lovingly, no judgement Being in presence is a gift to yourself and to others
