He started his working career in RAAF and since then has fine tuned his skills in a number of industries including a Dive Master in Cairns in the 1980s, a relief engineer on a prawn trawler off Darwin and many many more. He fell in love with Pilgrim when he first clapped eyes on her and never imagined owning her, let alone operating her commercially for 10 years! How life can surprise you! Paul's love for sailing is apparent for all to see - whether it's a gentle sunset cruise or racing in the Sydney to Hobart (he's done two!!). If it involves sailing, he's happy!
