24.01.2022 Good news! The long wait is almost over and the newly refurbished Rockingham Foreshore Fish and Chips will be reopening on Tuesday. Come on down, take a look at the new-look shop and enjoy some great fish and chips. We're both looking forward to seeing you again.

24.01.2022 One question we get asked a lot is: are our chips gluten-free? The answer is yes, and they're always cooked separately from our fish. So people on a celiac diet and others with a gluten-intolerance can eat our chips safely. Our grilled fish is also a great option for those on a gluten-free diet.

24.01.2022 We wuz robbed! Please accept our apologies if you came to the shop yesterday only to find it closed. We were robbed overnight, which turned into a bit of a drama involving beefed-up security, police, a new cash drawer and a new safe. Incidentally if you're in the market for a safe don't get a Chinese cheapie from a hardware store. Spend the money and get a real one. As we discovered to our cost, the cheap ones are really nothing more than a metal box with a useless lock.

23.01.2022 We get a lot of pleasing comments from our customers about how good our fish and chips are. So we were a little concerned the other day when in the middle of our packed fish and chips shop, one of our "customers" loudly proclaimed that ours was the worst fish and chips he's ever had in his life. However, we would have been a little more concerned had this "customer" actually bought and eaten any of our fish and chips! It was all a bit odd, and one of our customers suggested ...that perhaps it was one of our competitors sending someone in to try to discredit us. Well I'm happy to put that idea to rest, because while this is a fiercely contested market, with another 4 fish and chips shops all close by, we're all very professional and would never stoop to such silly behaviour. So just who it was and what he was doing is all a bit of a mystery. Aahh well, it takes all sorts I guess!

21.01.2022 Sorry folks but unfortunately we won't be opening today after all. Mrs B is still very crook with the flu.

21.01.2022 Well be open on the Monday public holiday, so please come on down for Rockinghams finest fish and chips. Its your last chance for a couple of weeks because were heading to Lombok for a well-earned holiday from June 6 to June 20 and the shop will be closed.

20.01.2022 Well unfortunately were making slow progress getting the shop back together but we have had the roof plumbing repaired, which is a step forward. Well also be making some big changes before we reopen, so keep an eye out here for all the news.

18.01.2022 Remember that ugly old drinks fridge filling up space in the shop? Well we're pleased to announce that it's finally out the door and a new wall is in its place. We think the shop looks much better for it. That's not the only changes we've made recently. We've replaced our old fryers with new gas ones and they're turning out even better fish and chips than before. So if the cold, wet weather's been keeping you away it's time to call in again for the best fish and chips in Rockingham.

By the way, if you're looking for a more laid-back alternative to Bali you should definitely try Lombok. It's a little like Bali used to be 30-odd years ago. If you liked Bali back then but think it's all got a bit too touristy today, then you'll love Lombok.

We're not alone, apparently as many people are experiencing similar dramas after switching to the NBN and trying to port their existing numbers. The NBN should of course be referred to as FRAUDBAND. (Thanks Mr Turnbull for totally stuffing up a really great idea!)

07.01.2022 Weve had to close the shop for the last few days due to a nasty bout of the flu. Sorry about that friends. With any luck we should be back open today thats the plan anyway. Flu vaccinations are a very, very good idea and we both wish wed had one because this a very nasty thing.
