16.01.2022 Please be safe whilst driving on Fraser Island A father rescued his partner and children, including their baby boy, after their four-wheel drive clipped some wa...ter and rolled on Fraser Island. The mother and two of the children were unable to free themselves from the vehicle. The father quickly released the mother from her seat belt, and the two children from their car seats. The Queensland Ambulance Service paramedic based on the island initially treated three patients, a woman in her late 20s and two children. Its believed all three had ingested water. The mother and two of the three children were airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition for further observation. .Earlier on Saturday, a man in his 50s was also airlifted from Fraser Island. He was injured after the trail bike he was riding hit a tree root and flung him off the bike. He was treated by a paramedic at the scene before the rescue chopper arrived. He suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
