People do care and want to help our marine life Please ...keep sharing and help us to reach even more people. Attitudes to single use plastics are beginning to change. Read on to see what you can do to help. It only takes a moment. I would like to start a campaign for 2018. On May 8th it will be Sir David Attenborough's 92nd birthday. He has inspired so many people to take an interest in wildlife and the environment and now he is calling for our help. There are many issues in this world we need to sort out and very often we are powerless to do anything about it. But one thing we can ALL do, is pick up litter. Particularly non biodegradable material such as plastic, cellophane and rubber . Yes we need to pick plastic up off the beaches but 80% of what ends up in the ocean comes from rivers and drainage systems , therefore we need to pick up plastic in the street, the hedgerows, the parks and fields . Just spend the last couple of minutes of your walk picking up plastics and we can clean up this world for everyone. So let's give David a wonderful surprise for his birthday- a cleaner world.
