10.01.2022 Apprentice wage subsidies - first round of claims now available for Jan-Mar'20 wages. You can get back up to $7000 per quarter per apprentice to help keep them employed. Your apprenticeship provider will send you the email to claim. Follow them up if you haven't received it.

10.01.2022 Are you supposed to hold off on lodging your BAS till 28th April? No! There is a lot of talk at the moment of the first roll-out of the business cash flow boost for employers applying to your Jan-Mar BAS from 28th April.."and not before". Some of this info has been poorly worded...you can still lodge your BAS prior to 28th April - the cash flow boost just won't be applied until the 28th.... So lodge it early if completed ...can you just imagine the govt portal if everyone was trying to lodge on the 28th April! To keep up to date with all ATO info, as changes often, please go to https://treasury.gov.au/coronavirus/businesses

08.01.2022 NSW Govt offering $10,000 to small business affected by COVID pandemic. (Separate to all other govt grants to date). Applications open 17th April at Service NSW website (and close 1st June). Conditions apply, of course, with one being that your business has been affected by the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order 2020 issued on 30 March 2020. So cafes, restaurants, accommodation houses, and the like, will all benefit.... Get on it!

07.01.2022 JobKeeper payment enrolments are open from today, but businesses need MyGovID in order to enrol. If you are having problems working out how to do this, click here for access to a step-by-step guide. (Alternatively, you can have your BAS or Tax Agent enrol via their ATO portals. Contact me if you need more help.)
