17.01.2022 We're hoping someone found a pot of gold at the base of this rainbow happily projecting itself along the Beach to Brother running course. How beautiful! It goes to show that the sun is shining bright every day, sometimes we just have to look beyond the gloom in front of it! Entries for the 2020 event are flowing in, predominantly for the marathon at this time. Don't forget there are other options, including a half marathon, 10km , 5km and a 42km team relay to choose from.... **The B2B event team continue to monitor the 2nd wave Covid situation arising across Australia. As the situation changes, it is likely so will our event Covid safety plan. 17.01.2022 Breathtaking....Inspiring.....Limitless.... These are simply three words that come to our mind when looking at the wonderful ocean images taken by the Percival Property Marketing Team this week, shared with you below. These are images participants have experienced at the Beach to Brother start lines, and along other sections of the course, every year since the inception of the event in 2016. We truly hope this year will remain to be our 5th Anniversary event. Our final deci...sion will be announced this coming Friday following some final discussions with Health NSW and other government stakeholders. Percival Property have been the major sponsor of our trail Marathon since its inception in 2016, with one of the Principals of the organisation being heavily involved with the development of the event. Over the past four years we have had all types compete at Beach to Brother, and it has been fun for us to help everyone along with whatever goal they have in mind. 14.01.2022 Following last weeks updated NSW public health recommendations, we are currently speaking with NSW Health in relation to the risk associated with the upcoming Beach to Brother event. The updates to the public health recommendations are for a period of six weeks (to 23 September), which leaves us only 10 days after until race day. Talk about cutting it tight! The recommendations that impact specifically on the event include the mixing of participants from different regions, ...activities that result in overnight stays, and bus travel with people from different household groups. As mentioned above, we will work very closely with NSW Health over the next week. We have had a massive influx of entries over the past month and we are close to event capacity already. From early on in registrations, we had registered participants from the United States, New Zealand, China and Japan; these have all been either fully refunded or transferred to 2021 at their request. As we do each year, participants are registered from QLD, VIC, NSW and SA. We want to be fair with our participants, and provide adequate notification as to whether the event will proceed. We will make a decision on the event within the next 10 (ten) days, following NSW Health guidance, and provide an update on social media, our website, and via email to those that have entered the event. In the meantime, we hope you are staying happy and healthy in any way whatsoever. Keep on running........and keep on smiling......it's what we do!

02.01.2022 2020 EVENT COVID ANNOUNCEMENT After considerable consultation with NSW Health, other government agencies, and our insurance providers, we are sad to announce that the 2020 Beach to Brother Trail Running Festival planned for October will be cancelled.... For the safety and wellbeing of the Port Macquarie-Hastings community, and the running community (including their support crews) that continues to support our events, we have to be honest and advise that this year it was just too difficult to manage the social distancing measures and other risks associated with operating the event. This is a sad time for us at Beach to Brother HQ. We love the B2B event and the calibre of people the event attracts, and we are sad that we can not accommodate your attendance at our event this year. We had finalised most things for the event and were looking forward to celebrating the 5th edition with you all, and in addition celebrating those that have been with us on the five year journey. There were quite a few competitors that were going to complete their fifth Beach to Brother. We will have to do all of this next year instead, and thoroughly hope COVID has stopped paralysing society by this time. As promised, all entry fees will be fully refunded. Register Now have already been contacted this afternoon and have confirmed with us that the process will start on Monday of next week; they have advised that it can take up to 14 working days to complete the process. We hope you understand the tough decision we have had to make, and we hope you will return on Sunday 19 September 2021 to support this wonderful regional event. Stay healthy and happy.
