25.01.2022 Dear Families, Whilst the world around us is currently so confusing and there are so many mixed messages, our aim at BHCK is to continue to maintain a calm, learning environment for all of our children. Families were sent an email late last week about other procedures we have implemented around Covid-19. If you did not receive this email, please let Samm know. ... We also request if you can please continue to update us daily about your child's attendance and if absent, please provide a reason for your child's absence. We appreciate your support in maintaining our sense of community (even if it is from a distance) during this time.

20.01.2022 Our Class Artwork Auction is now open for Yellow and Orange classes - Green and Purple auctions will open on Thursday. Bid in person at kindy or email your bids to Samm. The children have created four awesome pieces of art which we are auctioning to raise money for the kindy.

17.01.2022 Two weeks ago yellow class did an experiment to provide them with a visual representation of the benefit of clean hands and how washing our hands stops germs spreading. Yellow class were keen and eager to see what would happen to the two pieces of bread. The clean hands piece of bread was placed in the bag untouched, while the other piece was passed around the group before we had washed our hands. Look at the results!! Yellow class will definitely be great hand washers after seeing these results!

To commemorate and remember this year, we are creating limited edition keepsake tea towels and tote bags with artwork drawn by all your children. There is one design for each class. What a great way for the kids to remember their special friends from this year. Orders forms are in your kids’ news pockets and must be submitted by this Friday.

08.01.2022 That’s a wrap for our 2020 raffle. A massive THANK YOU to all the kindy families who sold tickets. We raised over $5,700. What a fantastic result! Congratulations to all the lucky winners who have now been notified. Also to Lucy Foster who sold the winning ticket and to Frankie New and her family who sold the most tickets. Finally we’d like to say a big thank you to all the families and businesses who donated prizes. Each year we rely on these donations to help make our fundraising a success.

04.01.2022 We are back!!! We are super excited to say that we have reopened at Beacon Hill! Thanks to all our wonderful staff for their hard work and commitment to pack up, move, and set up. We also have had some helpers and donations from our kindy and wider community. Ash and Ant for levelling out the trampoline space, Jess for our new fish, Jessica for the moving boxes, Chris for attending to all our notice boards and Kathy for our new fish tank and the Rand "strongmen" for moving the garden pods. Thank you all so much. What a wonderful community we are in!

03.01.2022 Cromer Community Centre is being used as an evacuation centre. It may be difficult for us to operate out of Orange Classroom tomorrow and may only be able to have a limited amount of children attending. We will notify families tomorrow morning but may ask for families to keep their child at home if possible.
